1st Trimester

When did your MS kick in?

Long story short, I'm feeling so sick to my stomach this morning.  I have not been tracking my periods, had sex April 1st (Dh is away for work alot) and am worried I might be pregnant.  Trust me, it's a long story but this would definitely be a surprise for us.

Is it even possible to see symptoms this early?  Or am I so worried that I'm just making myself sick?  Can't think of taking a test..

Re: When did your MS kick in?

  • Hi Mary

I am very new to the board...just found out saturday. I took a test becuase i felt off. However its probably WAY to early to tell since you have sex April 1. Give it another 2 weeks and take a test. Stress may be the culprit :)

  • And let me clarify, I'm not asking you if I'm pregnant.  Just asking if it's possible to have symptoms this early on.  I had nothing with my first.  Thanks.

  • I don't think I pregnancy test would show up this early. Do you remember your last period?

  • Most people will say you will have a positive test before symptoms. Your first positive test can be as eary a 10DPO (thats when it is likely to be accurate) . I had some minor symptoms around the time of my BFP so they could happen at the same time and that was probably 8DPO. If I were you I would take a test, if it is negative wait a couple days if AF doesn't show up take another. Repeat

  • My MS kicked in at exactly week 6 day 1 and has not let up for even 1 day since.

  • Even if you happened to ovulate on April 1st and catch the egg, you'd only be 8dpo.  I doubt you'd have m/s already.  But if you think you might be pregnant, test.

  • I didn't start feeling nauseous until about 6 weeks.  Probably too early to test yet, but might be worth a try.  Not sure what area you are from, but around here, there has been a lot of stomach bugs going around lately, that could also be the culprit if your body is trying to fight it off.  Best of luck to you!
  • If you're pregnant enough for symptoms, you're pregnant enough to get a BFP.

  • M/s started at 5w5d, unlikely you're getting morning sickness at 8 DPO, give it a few days, take a test.  You probably have a stomach bug.

  • If you had sex April 1st and got pregnant then, its very unlikely that you'd be feeling any symptoms as implantation may not have even happened. You could have eaten something or you're over thinking it. Wait a few days and take a pregnancy test.

  • I remember my boobs being sore was the very first thing.  I hadn't POAS yet, but yelped when DH sqeezed them once (sorry if that's TMI...) and even at that time, it didn't even click that I could be PG.  Then when I did POAS maybe a week later... BFP!  M/S didn't start for me until yesterday.  (I think my ticker is a few days off, so I'm probably more like 6w3d).  So, it might be a tad early for m/s for you, but who knows!  Maybe not!!  GL!

  • My m/s didn't start until week six or so...until then my only symptoms were sore boobs and cramps.  I have to agree with the post above about symptoms playing evil tricks on you...the cycle we got our positive I swore we were out because I didn't feel any different at all.  And the months before that I overanalyzed every twitch, every queasy feeling, only to be disappointed.  Good luck!

    In that case, no.

  • It's possible this is just stress or something else, but I have a coworker who said that she was having horrible morning (noon & night) sickness before she even got a positive test with her second child (a girl, but she had bad morning sickness with her first, too, who is a boy). Hope it turns out the way you want! :)

  • I completely agree.  I had every symptom in the book and for a couple months, I was not pregnant.  I did test on Day 10po so you might be able to test soon.  My line was so faint but it was there!  And they say, a line is a line:)
