I just want to start this off by thanking all of the wonderful ladies on this board! Because truth to told, I do not think I would have received my BFP this early in the game without the knowledge and expertise from everyone. At first I was not temping, but then after a couple of months I caved. It turned out that when we started TTC I was not O?ing yet. Then that was it! I told myself I would not go a step further and use OPKs. ?I can do this without all the fancy shmancy technology.? But I started to have second thoughts and I caved in March and bought some. And it turns out the first month I used OPKs was the month I conceived.

The Basics:

Cycle: 4 (of ovulating)

DPO: 11

What we did: We had sex O-3, O-2, O-1, O+1, O+2. It was my first month using OPKs and I got 2 nice positives at O-2 and O-1 along with EWCM at O-3 and O-1. I also temped like usual. We did NOT use any Preseed. I was going to buy some at CVS with my 20% off coupon, but I forgot. We used either saliva or Astroglide lube.

Symptoms: Cramps off and on, headache for the past 3 days, and slight nausea. That?s about it.

EDD: 12/16/12 according to FF.

The Details:

I felt really good about this cycle because of the prettiness of my chart. So I tested on Tuesday (4/3) and it was negative. It didn?t get me upset because I knew I was only 9 DPO. Then on Thursday I tested again (my targeted day) and it came up with a faint line on my Wondfo. I was not sure if I should believe this because it seemed like it was more than 5 minutes for the line to come up and for me to get my camera to take a picture. Then I tested on Friday and I made sure that I set the timer for 5 minutes and that faint line popped up within the time frame!

Last night I was lurking on TTGP board before bed and I came across the thread about a bad batch of Wondfos. The expiration on mine are 9/2013 and a poster said their bad batch had 9/2013 as well and ladies were getting false positives. Of course this had me worried. So this morning (13 DPO) I tested with a Wondfo and an Equate Early Result test. Both came up with a faint second line! So I am taking this as I am pregnant!

Unfortunately, I did not tell DH in any cute, fun way. The previous week I told him I was going to test on Thurday April 5. So that morning he asked how it went and I told him that there was a faint second line, but I was unsure of the reading time frame and I tried to explain to him about evaporation lines. He asked Friday morning and I showed him the picture I took. Then I showed him both sticks from this morning and he was very excited.

So thank you again ladies for all your advice and help! There is still time this month for more BFPs so I hope to see some familiar ?faces? over on December 2012 and 1^st trimester boards. My advice is to BD no matter how tired you may be because you never know!
