We got the Safety First Complete Air (off the costco website). It's been good - I like that you can adjust the height of the straps without rethreading and that it has 4 recline points so we can have it more upright than the newborn setting and reclaim some passenger leg room. The straps don't twist and it wasn't hard to install. Takes up the same or less room as the newborn bucket.
Look for rear facing height/weight limits (longer is safer), how it adjusts, if it fits your car.
We have a Britax Roundabout as our primary car seat. We also own a Cosco Scenera that we've installed for people babysitting DD (we only have one car at the moment; it was the seat we had in DH's car).
Married to my best friend 6/5/10
BFP #1 9/7/10, EDD 5/14/11, Violet born 5/27/11.
BFP #2 4/9/12, EDD 12/16/12, M/C Rory 4/24/12.
BFP #3 10/6/12, EDD 6/16/12., Matilda born 6/17/13.
We have the Sunshine Radian XTSLs in our van right now and the Cosco Sceneras in the Scion (our secondary car). The Radians are awesome, RF to 45lbs and FF to 80lbs. The boys HATE the Sceneras though. They're not very comfy and were much harder to install. Plus, you can't adjust the recline angle, so they take up a lot of room. They also don't seem as secure as the Radians.
We weren't really using them much but since we are now, we're getting ready to purchase 2 Diono Radian RXTs (Diono bought out Sunshine Kids). We'll be moving the XTSLs to the Scion since the Dionos become boosters up to 120lbs and the XTSLs don't. We're going to give the Sceneras to our grandma who watches the boys while we work in case she needs to take them out.
We have a Britax Boulevard 70 CS. We love it. I haven't had to adjust straps yet, but I don't think you have to re-thread them. I liked how easy it was to install and that it has little velcro on the back of the straps to help them stay in place while you are putting lo in the seat. She seems to like it as well. Her head doesn't droop like it did in the infant carrier when she sleeps and I really like that. Good luck!
I find it awkward getting her in and out of it still...I miss the infant carrier! I just feel like an idiot trying to get her seated in and out of it, and I hit her head on the roof of my car when I pull her out sometimes. Duh...
We have an Evenflo Titan Elite for my vehicle and an Eddie Bauer for DH's vehicle. The Eddie Bauer is from Layla and the Evenflo we bought new this year. I prefer the Evenflo, but both are decent car seats. I wouldn't hesitate buying either one again.
We JUST bought the Graco MyRide65 and haven't even finished installing it yet. I liked the reviews on ConsumerReports and how well it rated. It is quite large though and takes up a good deal of my backseat while RF (I have a Mazda3, so not a big car). I could still fit two adults in my backseat, if one is on the smaller side, and they don't mind mind sitting RIGHT next to a carseat lol. We considered the Britax Marathon Classic as well, but my husband preferred the side padding on the Graco.

we basically have the same one. I loved that it was RF, FF, and a booster

We have this for DH's car and will probably get another for mine when DD outgrows her infant carrier.

Britax Boulevard 70, she loves her big girl seat.
