    Im Caitlin and due to the spelling many people butcher it. I get Cathleen, CAT-lyn--weird, Kate LAND--weirder...I do also get Caity from my family and its fine, but anyone else I dont like it. 

    Cait is fine.

    For some reason I get called Becky a lot...why i dont know.

    Melissa, but that's also my BFF's name, and she gets called Michelle, so we just assume people mix us up.

    That's funny. The only name I've every been called mistakenly is Melissa. And I'm a Michelle too.

    I remember being a little disappointed as a child because I never had a nickname.

    Bummer. I LOVED my nicknames as a child and teen. Haven't been called by any of them since my early 20s and I have to say that I kind of miss it.

    I was called Meeshie, Mish, Mush (k, I didn't like that one), Shell, and Meesh (the most common nn for me).

    My name is Crystal. Sometimes people call me Kristen or Christy, I sometimes get Christine.

    Aside from the general butchering of Deirdre, I have had people call me Desiree.

    I'm Sophie and people ALWAYS call me Sarah.  I have no idea why.

    I also have a friend who I apparently look quite similar to, so people often call me Chloe, which is her name.

    I'm Karen and mi sister is Karol, so people (including my mom!) usually calls me Karol and viceversa; I'm so used to it that it doesn't even bothers me

    I've also gotten Carmen a lot of times, it kind of annoys me because I don't like that name

    People generally just pronounce mine wrong. I don't usually get a totally different name.

    My name is Kristen so I get every variation imaginable, Kirstin, Kierstin, Christian, Christina, Christine, Kirsty, Kristy, ect. I pretty much answer to anything to strangers I don't bother correcting anymore.

    This, except my name is spelled Kristin, so I always ALWAYS get Kristen, and every variable imaginable.

    I know exactly what you mean!  My name is Hillary and I can't tell you how many people throughout my life have called me Melissa.  Not even close.
