weird pain under boob

I get this pain (its sort of like a burning feeling i guess?) on the top of my belly under my right boob. I never get it on the other side. I would have thought it was from bra digging into me but it happens even when I'm not wearing one. Does anyone else get this, or know what it is??

I have had this for the past couple of weeks and it is on my right side only too. I asked the doctor about it and she said that it is normal to experience. The area right under your boobs is the most sensitive to stretching so that is the pain you feel. Her advice was just to not do anything to exasterbate it and put heat on it to help ease it. HTH

I get this all the time. I went to my doctor about and they tested me for shingles and gallstones and all was fine. I think it has to do with a nerve. I know my baby's head is in that general vicinity...i'm praying that if and when she goes head down that it will relieve this. It's not fun. It really hurts Sad

Me too, I have had this for at least 6 weeks straight. They checked my gallbladder too and all was well. Sometimes mine feels like burning, and sometimes it's physical pain like my ribs are being pushed out. Must be a "running out of room" thing. When I have the burning pain, it is very soothing to hold a water bottle of cold water or an ice pack to the area.

I have that too and also only on my right side. For me, it's almost like a burning sensation. I find it feels better if I can lay down flat or sit up really straight, it's most agitated when I am slouching. I have no idea what it is but I do know several people that have experienced it, including my mom when she was pregnant with me.

Yes this whole thing exactly! Ok glad im not the only one. I have a regular 28 week appt tomorrow so i will ask just to be sure!

I have that exact same pain. It feels like someone is literally burning me with a curling iron or something. I'm not sure what it is, but I assume it's a nerve because it also feels numb sometimes.

Mine is more of an ache. I asked my doc and she said the boy is pushing up on my lungs, and my lungs are expanding as a result. She said it's common to have this rib pain and there's absolutely nothing that can be done about it.

I get that too. I think it's just rib pain and baby pushing... it hurts!

I have had that with both last PG and this one. I asked my doctor and he said that it is very common in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. It happens because the baby is running out of room. The heart is on the left and the liver is on the right. The baby is putting pressure on the liver and you have a burning/pain sensation.

YES!!!!! I had this exact pain from about 18-28 weeks. It was really, really bothersome. I searched the internet for any sort of explanation and there wasn't really anything I could find other than it goes away right after birth.

I'm not sure what happened, but the pain stopped right around 28 weeks and I feel better than I have throughout this entire pregnancy at 31 weeks.

I'm sorry you have to go through this - it was not fun!

My doctor is telling me that its heartburn! She have my gallbladder ultrasound done - and it looked fine! Whatever it is - is killing me!!!!!!!
