TTC After a Loss

Anyone try mario badescu products?

I suppose it's too late for this post because last night i spent over $100 on their acne products that someone on TTGP once recommended to me (my back is a MESS since i've been off BC and is now so much worse after pg/mc)

I guess i'm having buyers remorse and wondering if any of you have used their stuff?

  • Yes!  I really like them.  I haven't tried any of the acne products, but I swear by the Seaweed Night Cream for helping with dryness and giving an overall nice appearance to the skin.  The hand cream is awesome, as well.  They all have a nice, clean scent, too.  Enjoy!

  • I haven't tried Mario Badescu, but I have had luck with Peter Thomas Roth Blemish Buffing Beads for Face and Body. At $36 a bottle it's pretty pricey, but my skin is sensitive and overly reactive to products (lucky me. ugh.) and I love this stuff, esp. in the summer. I worked at Sephora for years so way too much of my brain is taken up with info about makeup and skincare :) HTH.

  • I like their products so much that my family sends me care packages filled with MB goodies to the NL (the international shipping they charge costs a fortune!). Anyway, yes I'm a huge fan. In particular:

A.H.A. Botanical Body Soap and Papaya Body Lotion: Both contain A.H.A. which gently exfoliate the skin (I use the body soap with body shop gloves as well). I haven't had body acne since I started using the above and the body lotion sinks into the skin quickly and hydrates nicely.

Drying Lotion: This does all that it claims to do. A light hand, just on the problem area is key otherwise your whole face will start to peel and you will irritate your skin making the problem worse. I only use this at night when I get the occasional whiteheads and they are usually gone by morning.

So yes, using the above combined with my daily vitamins, lots of water, eating right has kept the acne at bay. After my last miscarriage I had the worse acne of my life and I wanted to cry every time I looked in the mirror...it lasted about a month and then my skin slowly started getting back to normal.

Thank you for your response!!  I purchased both the AHA body soap and the drying lotion so I'm glad to hear the good reviews! I got everything in today so I'm excited to try them.
