Similac Sensitive vs. Enfamil Gentlease

I'm trying to find a formula to supplement with and haven't had much luck yet finding one that my munchkin can digest easily.  Both of these promise to be easier than other formulas and cause less gas.

Has anyone used either of these with any success?  Is one better over the other?

 Thank you!!

Re: Similac Sensitive vs. Enfamil Gentlease

  • DS does really well on the Enfamil Gentlease formula, we had him on the regular formula for a while and it caused some digestive isues.  We ended using soy for 2 weeks then slowly incorporating the Gentlease into his diet.

  • We were originally using regular formula, but DS had TONS of gas & he's also a little colicky, so we put him on Enfamil Gentlease & it has helped a lot.  I have never tried the Similac kind.

  • DD does well on Similac Sensitive. It also happens to be the same price as regular Similac, which is a bonus!! DS was on Alimentum. That stuff was expensive!
  • We use gentlease due to gas/constipation. works great except his poops are really stinky now!
  • We tried Gentlease which made no difference and DD hated the taste. She has been on Similac Sensitive for 3 months now and we love it!

  • Pedi recommended Gentlease, so we tried it, but didn't seem to help DD.  DH is lactose intolerant, so we thought that might also be the problem w/ DD -- and Gentlease is not 100% free of lactose.  We switched to Sensitive, which is actually completely lactose free.
