Marcus and Gabriel are here!

Born 3/31 around 2am (less than a half hour apart). I got my vaginal birth, though not without work!  Marcus was 6lbs 15oz and Gabriel was 6lbs 11oz.

 



 

Labor/birth highlights:

-- Elevated BP at doc on Fri w urine protein, cervical dilation, and twins = induction.  Born at 37w (barely)2d.  I got my main OB which was so, so amazing.

-- Total labor, from start of pit to babies, was 17hrs.  Labor was not bad.  Did not enjoy the epidural though I was grateful to have it (if that makes sense).

-- 5hrs of pushing.  Marcus was first and endured some battle wounds.  Gabriel was 2nd and was born w/ his cord around his neck.  He came out limp but they were quick and he pinked right up.

-- 24hrs of mag after.  This was by far, BY FAR, the worst part.  "Hi, happy labor, now you can't take care of your kids and you'll feel like crap."
