Multiple registries?

I am not sure what to do...

Dh and I are going to register soon and I had always assumed I would register at Babies R Us since they are located all over the place and easy to use in person and on line...however they dont have a lot of the items that I want.

So I was also going to register on amazon.com since I can add items from outside websites to my registry and their prices might be better for some people. Is it ok to have two registries? Should I keep the items that are on them completely different that way their aren't duplicate gifts?

I don't think there's anything wrong with having two registries. I'm doing two registries because I like Buy Buy Baby and there is one near my house, but there isn't one near where my family lives, so I also did an amazon.com registry, for the free shipping and ease of ordering. I'm guessing that people will only bring smaller gifts to my shower near my family since I will have to travel with those gifts, and they will likely ship any larger (size-wise) gifts.

I put different items on each registry but tried to make sure that each one had a good mix of inexpensive/more expensive and small or large items.

I think its fine - I am registering at Amazon as it seems to be the most convenient with the best variety.. and I also plan to register at PB or RH or somewhere more specific for some decor/etc :-)

I am doing Amazon and BRU, one because I want the coupon at the end. I will be putting different items on each one. I think its fine to have more than one.

I think it's absolutely fine to have two registries. in fact, I am doing both BRU & Amazon as well. I want to make it as easy as possible for people, and although I really don't like BRU, I know it will be convenient to shop there for some family members. I have all my cloth diapers on Amazon though, because they're cheaper.

I have one at Buy Buy Baby and just started one at Pottery Barn Kids. I only did PBK because my mom wanted to buy all of our bedding from there and I added all of the accessories so that I can get them with the completion coupon later on

I am so glad to hear many other people have multiple registries and that amazon seems to be pretty popular. I too have all my cloth diaper items on the amazon registry which makes it much easier.

I did Babies R Us (the main needs) and THe Land of Nod (mostly for bedding/room decor)

I have two registries.. BRU and Walmart. The only reason I didn't do one like amazon.com is because most of my family isn't internet savvy.

I would not put duplicates on the two registries, but my cousin did. She registered for almost the same items at BBB and BRU. I guess she'll just return everything that she doesn't want, lol

We have two registries as well. We registered at Buy Buy Baby, but since there are not too many locations in our area we decided to register at Target as well.
