My friends have been recommending I buy some menstrual pads, soak them in witch hazel, and stick them in the freezer to use in the days postpartum. I haven't used menstrual pads in forever! Can you rec your favorite, softest, big pads? I'd prefer a natural brand if possible. TIA!
Re: best pads for postpartum?
Where I agree that the witch hazel will help I have been told that even if you have swelling down there past 24 hours post delivery it is usually from excess water and the ice packs/treatment wont help that. Although it is suggested for up to 24 hours after. I also read this on TB today. I just bought a 28 ct package of Always over nights but I plan on getting a small package of depends *someone else suggested that also. And I plan on raiding the hospital pram/closet the nurse in L&D told me and my husband to take whatever was needed, basically raid the crap out of it.
