I am O neg bloodtype and I tried telling my GYn this and they didn't do a thing. I switched to a different doctor and had to have a d&c. I miscarried on March 1 and my d&c was the 30th and I just had the shot. He said within 72 hours. I am scared now that I won't be able to have children. I have to go in for a f/u appt in 2 weeks and he said he should be able to tell if I built up antibodies by then. I was only 3 weeks along when I had spotting.
Re: When should you have rhogam after a miscarriage?
Hi-- I am sorry for you loss. I am B negative and had my second miscarriage on Wednesday. I also had bleeding with my pregnancies and had to get rhogam throughout the pregnancies.
From what I was able to find on the internet, it is very unlikely to get "sensitized" and develop antibodies with a miscarriage. That being said, you can have them analyze your blood to double check if you are worried.
