I stopped actually bfing a week ago but she still only get bm because I have a huge freezer stash and I pump three times a day. I am going to make sure that she gets only bm for the first year:)
I am and there's no end in sight. I figure we'll go at least until the end of cold/flu season. Though he usually only nurses 3-4x a day since he's mostly on solids at this point.
We are. I've had to start supplementing with formula when he's at his sitter's though. I just can't keep up with the pumping. Other than that we're still BFing all the time.
Me too, hoping to make it to a year. My mom keeps saying, Geez-how long are you going to breast feed her, you don't have to do it forever you know, um mom, she's only 4 months old!!! What is she going to eat, a steak ?
We still do at night. I have noticed in the last few days that I have had more milk because I have been eating more and it is really exciting...even though I am still giving him formula all day. It is a special feeling to nurse and I really don't want to give it up.?
I am! I plan to until DS is at least 1. Someone asked me recently if I was still BFing. I'm not sure if people ask because they don't know when babies normally stop BFing/FF or if they don't expect people to BF beyond a certain point.
I still am! ?Plan to start weaning after his first bday/the holidays are over, but am not expecting it to go well. ?If he's not ready, we will continue for a bit. ?But def. not past 1 1/2 years. ?I will miss it though...
Yep, I am. I really want to BF for a minimum of 18 months if possible (I have to take meds to keep up any supply at all.) Even the idea of weaning around 18ish months is pretty early in my immediate circle of friends and family. But, considering my low-supply issues, 18 months would be great.
Re: Who is still breast feeding?
i am.
i actually started the weaning process sat., i replaced the last nursing session with a bottle of formula.
my supply has t.a.n.k.e.d.
Is that like drinking the water in Mexico??

He'll be 1 in a couple weeks.
Anyone who acts like it is weird to breast feed any child under 2 is completely out of touch.
I'm going BF as long as I can and DD wants. Until she turns 3--I would definitely draw the line there.
