DS's preschool class is going to be dying eggs for Easter & I am trying to come up with an alternative...for TOMORROW!!! I thought finding ceramic eggs to dye would be a piece of cake but I can't find them anywhere! There is a product called "Egg-nots" & I'll definitely get some for next year but I am too late to order them now.
I figure I can either find a alternative for him to dye or find him kid sized plastic gloves to handle to eggs. So at his reaction to eggs has just been hives but he also hasn't been exposed in a long time.
Any ideas, ladies? TIA!
Re: Alternatives to dying eggs for Easter
Ooh, I've never heard of eggnots! I'll have to keep those in mind for next year. I was planning on having DD1 wear gloves to dye eggs. She's also severely allergic to eggs (contact allergy), so egg-dying has always freaked me out.
Could you paint the eggs with something so LO could touch them safely, but still dye them?? Does he know not to touch the other kids' eggs at his school?

What about something like this?
And the teacher/helper could put the egg in/take it out?
