What are you getting LO for Christmas/Hanukkah? Wy's birthday is in November and I plan to get him a train table but I have no idea about Christmas. I picked up a "tool bench" but I don't know what to get him for his big gift!  He loves cars so I am thinking some matchbox cars and a track?  Help!

Sorry I can't be of much help since I have a little girl!  When my dd was 2 she got a chair, and then mostly dress up stuff and dolls, puzzles- she was 2.5.  I think for her 2nd birthday she got a tricycle (with a handle so I could push), a step 2 roller coaster (used this for a good 2 years), sandbox and a little tikes climber/slide.  A lot of those are for nice weather though- not sure how cold it gets where you are.  

She also liked Duplo or Mega Blocks, puzzles, little people, fridge phonics,  books, her kitchen.

Does he have a table and chair set?  An easel?- some kids use at 2, others not until a little older.

 This year (5.5) she wants such grown up things- DS, moxie girls, monster high stuff, board games, makeup etc!

I'm not getting Jake much for Christmas. He'll actually be at his dad's for almost two weeks anyways.

He's got more than enough toys, books, and clothes to last him through the winter. I prefer to wait until spring to get a swing set and maybe a trampoline for outside.

That being said, I'll probably get him a couple of small things.

Last year when DS was 2, his "big" gift was an easel and all of the accessories to go with it. 

I'm not getting him much this year because 1. he doesn't need anything, and everyone else goes overboard anyway, and 2. we are going to Disney and Tampa in March so I'm saving for that and considering it part of his Christmas present, even though he doesn't understand that, ha.

DS will be turning 2 on Dec 31st, so I have Christmas AND a birthday to buy for. Not sure what he'll be getting for what, but here's what I have on his list so far:

1) Potty-training chair (the stand-alone kind)

2) Art easel/accessories

3) Kid-sized table and chairs

4) Pixar/Disney DVD's

5) Some kind of outdoor summer toy...not sure what

Great ideas! I forgot about the easel a friend gave me. I just need to touch it up and add the paper. I like the step2 coaster but its a bit pricey. My mom might split it with me. I am counting on some awesome black Friday deals too.
