Pregnant after IF

Pain in Ovaries

Historically, this is normal for me due to my PCOS. I've never had the "pretty" string of little pearls. They've always been all over the place in the ovaries, 1-4 of them on each side, and larger sized. I get sharp pains in both ovaries throughout the cycle. Whenever I'd get monitoring u/s's they'd see the cysts coming and going.

I'm pretty sure that's what's going on now, but I (maybe mistakenly) thought the pains and cysts would go away once I was pregnant. I'm having typical cramps in the center area of my uterus, but then I'm having these sharp pains periodically in both ovaries. Should I be concerned about this? I keep thinking I could be ectopic, but then it's happening on both sides. I have my first u/s Monday and my RE said we'd just check them then, so I guess we'll see then, I just wanted to see if you have any experience with this and if I should be worried about them.

Re: Pain in Ovaries

  • That's pretty common in pregnancy.  I have them too, and I don't have pcos, and I didn't even stim for this cycle. So my ovaries weren't even enlarged.
