Hi-
My husband & I can not agree on a girl's name for the life of us. We have about 4 names that are "just OK". There is one name that we both love, but it happens to be the name of a friend of ours. This is a friend that we made while in grad school and since grad school we all moved away and live 2000 miles apart, but keep in touch (mainly on Facebook). Husband thinks it'd be fine since we'll most likely never live near this friend. I'm wondering if it'd be too weird? What do y'all think???
Thanks!

I agree
I think it is fine!
I know a zillion Katherines (and many go by the nickname Kate) and never once had a reservation about using the name for my DD. She is not named after anyone and not one of my Kate/Katherine friends commented negatively - most just joked that I had great taste!
If I discarded every name of every friend I have it would leave me with very slim pickings.
