I didn't read the article and get the gist from your post but Ew! Im ok with taking a bite of my food to break off a smaller piece for my kids. But actually chewing it up and feeding I couldn't do it. But to each their own.

MIL did this with BIL when he was a kid, and I was just waiting for her to do it in front of us with our first LO, but she never did. I though it was a cultural thing (ILs are Vietnamese)...guess not!!

I don't pre-chew my food for DD, but, she likes to pre-chew her food and try to feed it to me. I guess her mothering instinct is starting to show early.

Do I think it's kind of weird? Yeah, kind of. But I don't think it's that big of a deal or very shocking for that matter. He's a young child who may not have any or if anything has very few teeth so she chewed it for him. So what. I don't see how it's all that much different than breastfeeding.

I know some of the posts were a joke, LOL! I was exaggerating and that was my weak attempt at humor However, some folks did go a bit... well, crazy defensive over that post! I love hearing everyone's opinions, and fun to shake things up! Nothing like laughing so hard you accidentally pee your pants (because your pregnant, and oh yeah, your bladder is shot to hell and may as well be non functional, from pushing for 3.5 hrs to finally push out DD 2 yrs ago) to make a day complete!
