SD's birthday this weekend

I feel like i haven't posted in ages.  My SD turned 6, and we are celebrating this weekend.  BM is organizing it at a local pizza place, but it's weird because I was asking my H who was coming and it's really BM and H's family.  Last year she did have one of her friends go, as it was the first year that she shared SD's birthday with H's family.  BM is ok with me and my MIL and FIL, but she doesn't like 2 of my H's brothers wives.  They all had a huge falling out when H broke up with her, and she hasn't be able to move past it.

So she told my h that he could invite his family.  That said, she didn't say he couldn't invite certain people, so my BIL and SIL and their 2 kids are coming.  BM used to be best friends with my SIL that is coming (SIL was the one who introduced H to BM).  I am looking at this as another step forward, so I hope it goes well.

The weird thing is that my H has 3 younger brothers, all are married and have kids.  Two of his brothers and SIL's are all very close, and then there is the third brother and his wife and kids that are estranged from the family.  This is due to BIL's wife, and her issues mainly with my IL's and she pretty much told my H's brother, that he can't have any contact with any of us.  Well, this sil is BFF's with BM.. so it will be really interesting if they also attend the birthday, which I doubt.  I just hope it isn't a circus for SDs sake.

    yikes! good idea having it at a public place though, people are more likely to act civil or just leave if it is a nightmare.  hopefully everyone can look past it and just celebrate SD's birthday with her!
