_*_*_*_ Echowsp_*_*_*_

I'm trying the "Man Pleasing Chicken" recipe tonight.

I've just mixed the sauce and I'm a bit concerned.

It smells VERY dijon mustard-y.

I'm sure DH will love it but have some concerns about the kids.

Does it turn out as mustard heavy as it smells going in or does some of that flavor cook down?

Thanks!

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

  • A lot of the dijon smell cooks down.  I'm a vegetarian and didn't taste the dish, but I will say that dh does not like a mustardy taste and he didn't even comment on it other than to say it was sort of like a honey mustard.

    Hope you like it!

Just gave it a taste test and it was YUUUMMM!!!

    Not too mustard-y at all!

So glad I made rice to sop up the extra sauce!!!

    Thanks for the recipe.

Gonna try some more from your blog soon!

Phew!  I was worried you wouldn't like it!  Glad it worked out for you. :D

  • For the record it was a big hit all the way around.

I was nervous about the kids (kinda a strong flavor) but they both gobbled it up.

The 17 yr old is out of town but I know he'll love it too.

I double batched it intending to freeze half for a future meal.

    Guess what?

Not enough left over to make a full meal to freeze.

That's the best endorsement you can get around our house!

    Thanks again for the recipe.

    I'm so glad!

That's funny about the leftovers because it happened with dh's lunch portion I had made.... nothing left to pack up!
