3rd Trimester

Show me your nursery closet

I saw a post a week or two ago where someone posted a PIP of their closet organizer and it piqued my interest.

So, show me your nursery closet! If you'd like to be extra helpful, tell me where you got the organizer or materials and about how much you spent. TIA ;)

Haha! I'm painting mine tomorrow-ish because I forgot to when we did the rest of the room. Then I need to plan a trip to Home Depot or Lowe's and get this done!! I've had 3 showers and have no where to put stuff!!!

  • I'm hoping I can put everything in a dresser.  We only have two bedrooms, and my closet is the one in the baby's room.  I was going to try to condense all my clothes in to the master bedroom with dh's clothes and give baby the closet, but I don't think baby needs the entire thing.  So I'm hoping we can fit everything in the dresser for now...

We purchased the baskets from Michaels for 40% off. (They're pretty much always 40% "off" so they probably just mark them up.) I made the tags using a scrapbooking tag punch, ribbon, and heavy cardstock.

We do have the closet dividers for sizes, but it was such a tight squeeze after all the clothes were hung up that you can't see them in the pic.

All of the clothes/diapers are hand me downs from my Sister. One of the many perks of my Nephew being born exactly a year prior to our due date. :)

I know everyone calculates it differently, but IMO you are in third tri...  40/3 = 13.33333 weeks per trimester.  13.33333X2 is 26.6 weeks.  Welcome!

  • We are in the process of switching bedrooms so LO will be getting our old room. Unfortunately that means that half of it's closet has a really large safe in it (our house was burglarized just before finding out we were pregnant). There is room to the right of it to put small shelves in. The left side has a two level clothing rod. Then there are two small closets on either side that have 2 and 3 shelves in it. No where near ready yet. Needs to be painted and shelf papered. The only thing we purchased was the handing clothing rod to make the double rod. Got that from Target for about 20 dollars. Shelf paper was purchased by my mother at Micheal's on clearance ($3). We are using left over paint from our living room and the shelves for next to the safe are wire modular shelving we've had for years that we got at Target.

Yes Me likey. This actually looks simpler and less expensive than the other poster's organizer. Thanks for sharing!

my stepdad built our closet from scratch into a room that had no closet, it is a bit of a mess because we have so much stuff, but the organizer in the middle is from Ikea, I think we paid about $50 for it.

This reminds me...I still need to make a curtain for the closet.  It's never ending!

Our LO's closet is small...so it's just got two bars and I plan on putting wicker baskets or some sort of small shelf at the bottom for extra storage.

Anyone else feel like the list of things to do is never ending?  I'm starting to feel the pressure to get everything ASAP!
