GTKY: What are you reading now?

I just got a Kindle yesterday (woo hoo!) and I'm in the middle of The Hunger Games, which I'm loving so far.  After I finish the trilogy I think I'll move onto Fifty Shades since it got such a good endorsement on this board, hee hee.

I'm looking for other books to load my Kindle up with... so, what are you reading now, and do you like it so far?

  • Fifty Shades of Grey!!!!! I AM IN LOVE WITH THESE BOOKS! YES, I AM TALKING IN SHOUTY CAPS! Lol. I seriously don't want it to end. I am on book three and was devastated when I found out this morning that there are only 3 books and not 4, like I had thought. I guess I will start Hunger Games next.

  • Just finished Catching Fire. I am impatiently waiting to get Mockingjay. Then I will be finishing The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. I loved the first two books of Larsson's series.
  • I am currently reading a book on my disorder.  I am going to start Hunger Games next.

  • I'm switching back and forth between:

The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth

    Working Poor: Invisible in America

    and

Love Only Once by Johanna Lindsay.

It depends on what mood I'm in. I had been reading a lot of non-fiction lately so I decided to throw in a trashy romance guilty pleasure.

I'm on book 3 of the Hunger Games and also plan on reading the 50 Shades of Gray books after.

If you haven't read it yet, I suggest The Host by Stephanie Meyer - same person from Twilight.  This book was awesome!

I am in the middle of Girl With a Dragon Tatoo and will probably try to finish it next.  I started it months ago, but just can't get into it.

I am also patiently waiting for the next book in the Sookie Stackhouse series.  I LOVE this series.

If you like thriller/scary Dean Koontz What the Night Knows was really good, also I LOVE his Odd Thomas series.  I've been wanting to read Water for Elephants, the movie was good, heard the book was much better (of course), PS I love you is awesome (hated the movie).  I could go on and on.  Also The Carrie Diaries was a light fun read.

How do you like the Game of Thrones series so far?  I'm going to need to start a new book pretty soon and I've heard good things about the TV series.

This isn't directed at me, but I'm jumping in with my answer :P

I've really enjoyed the series. It's not something I usually read(fighting and midevil type stuff) but they have been really good. The only downside is that they are a little wordy and there is a lot going on. Sometimes I get overwhelmed and have to step back for a bit, ha.

  • Sybil Exposed by Debbie Nathan. Just finished it and it is amazing. It is the story about the famous multiple personality disorder case and the 3 women involved and it uncovers how much of it was fabricated. It was really great. Now I am on to Inside Scientology: The Story of Americas Most Secretive Religion by Janet Reitman and it is so far really good and very interesting! I love to read and excited to add some of the mentioned books to my Amazon shopping cart!

  • I just finished the Hunger Games trilogy.  I'm reading The Discovery of Witches now.  Then probably Anne Rice's newest book, followed by James Patterson's newest in the "Private" series and then the 50 Shade of Grey series.  After that I don't know...
