Fluid around baby's heart - anyone else

I had a growth u/s yesterday.  The doctor noticed fluid around the baby's heart, so he made an appoinment for me to have an echo-gram.  Has anyone else run into this issue?  What does it mean?  My doctor said the cause could be minor such as a virus, or something more serious.  I am trying to find out some information before panicking.

    I'm a NICU RN and agree with your doctor that an echo will give you a better idea of what you are dealing with. Until you have a clearer picture, try not to worry too much. Fingers crossed for you. *hugs*
