Ovacue tests for saliva ferning. Many women don't get a good fern. It's a bit more expensive than I thought it would be. I personally wouldn't use it.
There are saliva ferning kits that come with mini microscopes that you can use kind of like OPK's, and then enter the result into a free charting program like FF. I've posted a link to an example. I don't know how quality this one is. It just shows you that it's quite a bit cheaper.
It's like comparing OPK's and the CBE fertility monitor. I do perfectly fine noting my FW with OPK's, so the monitor seems like a big waste of money to me.

I don't see us putting that kind of money into it, but I also am only on cycle 4 and charting has already helped me understand so much. Even by knowing when I O, there is still a small chance every month, so I'll keep my $250.

Yah, I mean I can't imagine it does anything more then what temping and FF could do. I know it uses saliva and vaginal temp both; if you choose.
I just didn't know if anyone uses one.

Looking at the reviews, people have good things to say. I get kind of mixed feelings on the whole "we've been trying however long and got pregnant the first time using this" type of comments. I understand different things may help, but that was like the $40-50 I spent on POM one cycle. Yea it was good, but I'll continue with the basics for now. Thanks for sharing though, it's crazy what all is out there to try!
Re: Ovacue?
I sort of feel the same way, at this moment I don't know how I feel about it. I've just started temping and charting. It's a neat idea though.
