My almost 4 month old will be starting solids soon what are the best foods to start her on other than rice cereal and oatmeal. Shes already on rice and hates oatmeal. ( starting her early on rice was doctor approved because of her GERD )
"I'll love you forever I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be"
My baby hated the rice cereal, so we went to avocado and banana. You don't need to cook either. I just mashed them and added a little breastmilk to make it thinner. We're trying oatmeal next.
I started my DS on mashed bananas right at 4 months. He still loves them 2 months later, it's his favorite solid. If you use a fork, they mash right up to a near liquid. As this point solids aren't a meal anyway, you're just introducing foods...and bananas are sweet and healthy!
We are going to start with avocado, I initally thought banana's but I read that it can (doesnt always) cause constapation. Someone on another post recommended this website and I love it very helpful - https://wholesomebabyfood.momtastic.com/

My DS hated the rice cereal also so we started mixing the stage one baby foods with oatmeal cereal instead. He loves applesauce or peaches mixed in but LOVES the pears.
This is the order we did: applesauce, avocado, sweet potato, pears. My doc said it didn't matter which we started with first. I've fed her the same thing for around 4-5 days then tried something new.
