for those who have used one-is this worth it to purchase if I will baggage check our carseat? I want to take our sunshine radian (easier to install) so I'm worried about damage and thought to buy the travel bag.
Yes! We have 2 carseats but only one travel bag. We used garbage bags for the other carseat but they ended up coming off and the carseat got filthy- and had a small tear. THey really throw them around (airlines) and the bag protected the carseat really well. Plus, we were able to throw a few blankets and clothes we needed that didn't fit in the suitcase. It protected the car seat and gave us a little more room!

I would get a really padded one (I know they are more $$$) because we have a really thin bag for our stroller, and it definitely gets a rip on most trips (and our canopy tore a little once).
we got the padded back-pack one, and I don't know how we'd travel with out it. We've flown twice, checking the carseat in that bag, and we've never had it get damaged. It is nice for the seat and for extra stuff we can't fit into our suitcases.

Wow, I am surprised at the answers. I dont travel a lot, but when we went to Disney in October we just brought our car seat and checked it, no trash bag or travel bag. Nothing happened either way. But I guess by reading the other responses I would get one, we may have just got lucky!
