Hello, Ladies! I'm hoping that since you all had babies last summer in July, that you will be able to help me. I'm starting to think about the "coming home" outfit for my LO that is due this coming July. I don't know if I should buy a long sleeved or short sleeved outift? What did your LO wear home from the hospital? Any advice would be great! TIA! ![]()

^that is what we brought DD home in. Different colors, but the same set. I had a light receiving blanket I put on her in the car because we had the AC on.

This is similar to the little set we bought. We decided not to use the cardigan since it was so hot. We did cover her with a light blanket because we had the AC on in the car.

It was a little dress with a little short sleeved sweater over it. She has never liked being warm though, so it worked well for us. Congratulations on your LO- such a wonderful and exciting time!

We brought DD home at the end of June (in Georgia). The drive home was 10 minutes.
I went for cute. I dressed her in a cotton sundress, socks, hat, and had a blanket over her (since we were going from the A/C hospital to the a/c car, to the a/c house.

Ellie came home in the same dress!!!! LOL it was a warm late June in Michigan and I thought it was perfect. She spent most of her first 2 months in short sleeved onsies. I had all these footed sleepers and we barely used them. She's a warm baby though..if she falls asleep in your arms she wakes up a sweaty mess.

It was hot in MA and DS wore a long sleeved onsie, shorts, socks, and a hat. The hospital was chilly and the car had AC. We used an aiden and anais blanket in the car to keep his legs warm.
Congrats- such a sweet and exciting time
This is what she wore home. I did bring a short sleeved dress with me to just in case it was really hot out.

Yep. Nobody was at our house or anything, it was just us so we went for comfort
I will say this~She was so small that NB stuff didn't fit her and I wished I had a premie outfit or two. She still hasn't outgrown NB socks
I originally planned on bringing DS home in a short sleeve shirt and pants ( this outfit was too big) so I ended up bringing him home in a onesie with pants.
I would bring a 0-3 month outfit and a newborn outfit to make sure your LO fits in one or the other.
We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)

It was C.Place pj set.
Green pants with a tshirt and a little jacket over it.
I say long sleeves for sure. It was 110 in the shade when LO was born but the hospital was a bit chilly, the car, the errands we did on the way home and our house was all A/C.
She came home in her hospital hat, and a long sleeve tee under a short sleeve onesie. By accident. We had put the onesie on her the day before we left because the hospital just put her in a long sleeve tee and blanket. One of the times that they took her to the nursery, they put the tee back on under the onesie. When we left the next day, no one noticed and I didn't think about it until we got home. Oops.
Anyway, it was pretty warm, but like everyone else has said, every place we went had AC. She didn't even wear pants or socks home, because it was all too big anyway. I definitely suggest bringing different sizes. Our baby is a bean and the NB onesie was baggy even over the top of the tee shirt. She wore her NB forever.
We brought dd home in a summer cotton short sleeve dress with a blanket over her for the car ride.
Mine came home in the LS kimono shirt with cuffs that the hospital dressed her in every day, diaper, hospital hat and receiving blanket. It was over 100 degrees here and the carseat are so hot. She lived in those shirts for several weeks.
By the time we were leaving, I just didn't care about changing her and those shirts were great.
I had brought these with me, kimono onesies and l loved them, she wore them a lot at first since I hated putting things over her head.

This and a lightweight Carters swaddle blanket over his legs. The outfit is really light cotton, so it was perfect, we had the AC on in the car and at our house.
