Pregnant after IF
US #3
Baby is right on track. Heart rate was 145. Beta over 53,000. I'll go to RE next week for my last us and bloodwork. My first ob appt is April 10. I'm glad that I don't have to wait so long in between appts but I'm sad to leave RE. These weekly appts kept me sane for at least a few days. I don't know how I will deal with monthly appts.
DH came with me for this us and heard and saw hb. He usually never comes in but I forced him to this time. He was amazed but is still not showing excitement. I understand that he is still worried about it all going wrong but when is he going to start obsessing about this pregnancy like me lol. I'm not really upset yet. My mom says that many men don't feel connected until baby is born. I thought since we went through this process that he would be just as thrilled as me.

That's how my DH was for most of this pregnancy. If he let his guard down and showed excitement, then he couldn't br strong and protect me. He finally started to show excitement after our A/S when the MFM told us everything looked great.
It's so true, some men can be so completely different than women!!
2/06 - surprise pregnancy - twins
3/06 - m/c 1st baby at 6 weeks
5/06 -2nd baby had no heartbeat at 14 wks.
D&E - Bled out. Blood transfusions. Week in ICU - Cheated Death!
Diagnosis: Blood clotting and bleeding disorder, immune issues, & cervical stenosis
5/10 - 1st IVF cycle - BFN
FET - 10/12/10 - BFN
1/11 - IVF with PGD - BFN
IVF - May - BFN
6/11 New RE - fingers crossed!
9/11 - IVF - 4 transferred
10/13 - BFP!!

MH sounds exactly like yours. I had to drag him in for our first (and only) u/s at the RE. He did seem happy to hear/see the hb, but I think, for him, it still doesn't seem real yet. Unlike you, I don't have the benefit of multiple U/S at my RE. After the only one I had at 7w2d, my next one won't be until I'm 12w1d at the OB for the NT scan. MH is coming to that too and hopefully everything goes well and he may get more excited.
