  I support limited u/s, but I highly encourage you to have an open mind. Simply telling her you "won't submit to these procedures" and being "staunchly against" them is a little ignorant. Ask her about why the things you are turning down are important. Will you refuse tests like GBS or GD? If you're group b strep positive, and do not know it, you risk the death of your baby. If you develop gestational diabetes and it goes untreated your baby could grow too large for your birth canal and delivery could result in shoulder dystocia and/or a severe tear or you risk skipping a vaginal delivery altogether and have a c-section.

  Please educate yourself on the importance of all u/s, tests, and diagnostic procedures offered throughout the course of your pregnancy. They were all developed for good reason.
