jessandandy09

I thought id start a new post as the other is too far down list hehe.  Sorry you had such a tough time with your 1st marriage, i was in a relationship for 11yrs, engaged the last 11/2, it had its ups and downs but man was i lucky i got away, we had started the process of a city hall marriage and on the way the next day for the ceremony when his other girlfriend called me.......yep thats how close i was to a disaster!!!  Anyway thats all in the past and we are both very lucky to have found our perfect man now matter when!!

Ya im a little nervous, i will be at ease when he is out and in my arms, im more anxious of bowel movement during labour, i think that scares me the most Indifferent hehe

  • Lol. glad you started a new one, this is much easier to find... for now! I cant believe you were literally saved by the bell on your way to get married!!!! how crazy, you really dodged a bullet there!  I always tell mself that past heartbreak and crazy experiences at least leave us with great stories later on.

I am a little nervous too, I always am because its so hard to predict what will happen when in labor.  However I want to say I didn't think birthing the babies (although I was much younger) was too bad (I did it all natural in the hospital both times).  At least it was not as bad for me, as so many others say it was for them.  I am sure it varies from person to person but it seems to me that the people with hard experiences tell their stories more often and that makes everything seem so scary.  Bowel movements have always been one of my biggest fears too.  I know in my head the doctor won't care but I still don't want it to happen.  I was very lucky with the first two and voided my bowels shortly before giving birth (also I took a shower directly before they were born - with DS I started having pushing contractions and full dialation in the shower-lol)

So I noticed in your siggy that you are going to name your son sean?  I think thats a lovely name. Oh and congrats on being under 100 days that was a big milestone for me.

  • Lol, theres alot more to that story....we decided (me and the gf) to say nothing to him and for me, him and my witness to continue as normal (go ahead and pretend to be getting married) we all went to city hall and his gf and her friend were waiting, we all confroted him, was best moment of my life....he denied it the whole time (b*****d) its a GREAT story hehe!!  She phoned me a couple of months later to check to see if i had got back with him or anything even though she stayed with him.......she was pregnant and didnt know the time of the showdown!!!  That really hurt, they are not together now haha but sad for his daughter!  The whole experience has def made me stronger!!

Anyway wow good for you going natural with your other LOs, i really want to do same, maybe gas and air, i do hope it goes that way but if not, as long as he is healthy and happy il be happy!!

Ya my husband picked it, my brother is named Sean also but i let Daddy pick it while i picked the second name, jeez i didnt realise i was under 100 days WooooHoooo, thanks for noticing Big Smile

  • wow, the story does get even better!  You should write a book!

I almost ended up using drugs with my second child.  It was too funny.  When I went in with my first I was dialated 8 centimeters and my contractions were 2 minutes apart (she was born within the hour).  So when I hit 2 minutes with my son, I headed to labor and delivery.  They told me that I was only dialated 4 centimeters. ( I had been dialated 4 centimeters with DD #1 for 4 days).  They tried to slow down my contractions, but they stayed at 2 minutes apart.  I walked around, and sat backwards on a chair, and finally took a shower.  When in the shower I had a "pushing strength contraction"  it almost brought me to my knees so I knew it was time to get out of the slippery shower.  I had 2 more of these on the way back to my bed so I grabbed the hubby by his shirt with both fists and got in his face and grunted "I WANT DRUGS"  he reminded me that I wanted to give birth naturally and then he looked in my eyes and went to get the nurse.  The nurse said "i can give you a small drug that will take the edge off, or a big drug that will knock you out."  I told her give me the big drugs, the big big big drugs, I cant labor like this for the next 4 days.  The nurse then said "okay mam, we just have to check how far along you are.... OH no, the baby is coming out, no drugs for you." LOL.  I was fine as long as the baby was coming out. So it was a close call on that second kiddo!  And I believe too that its nice to have a natural birth and I encourage others to try, but its not for everybody, its simply not.  There are reasons they have developed such good technology and medicines! And you are very right, its having a healthy baby in the end that is most important!  Oh and having a son is so very special, my son is 13 now and we are still very close :-)

  • Wow thats was great going!!!!  I can imagine me saying at the begining, no drugs then awhile later screaming for them hehe, we will just have to play it by ear!!  You'll prob breeze through this third pregnancy, hoping you do!!  I have 3 brothers and well used to being around boys, i did think this LO was a girl for a long time, im delighted and extremely blessed to be having a baby and i dont mind what gender it is aslong as its healthy and happy!!!  Its funny to hear the comments people are making, only we and our parents no the sex, alot are saying im having a boy and saying it to my mum, she secretly smiles back at them!!!  Everyone saying im 'neat' i love hearing it but im sure il explode one of these days Big Smile
  • I think playing it by ear is only way to go!  I thank you for your hopes and I really hope the baby just kind of shoots out this time, but you just never know - and I really hope its easy for you too! Isn't it fun to hear people guess the sex of the baby?  my confession is I love to hear the comments that people make about my size.  The way my bump looks depends on my clothing, and I really just started popping out front the past 4 weeks.  most of the 30 pounds I have gained has been on my hips and breasts and bum!  I have been gettin a lot of "you finally look pregnant.... really pregnant, is she going to be big?   My DH and I are both tall and so yes I assume she will probably be fairly large Big Smile Are you and DH planning/preparing a nursery?

  • Wow i dont know exactly what i have gained, i was about 11stone before hand and now im 13st2lbs......its alot but i have mostly bump and boobs but one of these days.........!!!  No preparing yet, we have a thing here where we dont bring anything into the house until the baby is born, i have things bought just clothes, nappies etc, they are all in my mum and dads house ready to be brought over and assembled when Sean is born Big Smile we are not doing a baby room just putting all the stuff in one bedroom, its large and we can keep the double bed in there and he can go into that when he is old enough, it will be his room (so surreal talking about it.....) im sure you and your DH are, its lovely to have it done but we are just too supersticious!!!!
