PIP-Home after 44 Day NICU Stay!

After the longest 44 days in my life, DS came home from the NICU on Thursday afternoon!! Although we are still on an apnea monitor and require oxygen during feedings, he is perfect in every way. We had our 1st pediatrician appointment yesterday which went well. Today, we have a home nurse coming from the hospital to make sure that we are comfortable and don't have any questions. We'll go back to the hospital in about 6 weeks to evaulate the readings from the monitor. Hopefully, we can ditch it then!

We are enjoying every second. And, although it's only day 2, this is SOOO much easier than life in the NICU. Honestly, it's a walk in the park compared to the last 44 days!

The day that he left, I thought that he would open his eyes the 1st time he was ever outside, but alas, he slept the entire way home!!
