Heavy Bleeding w/Large Clots -but normal ultrasound?

Hi everyone,

 I am 7 weeks and have had bleeding throughout my pregnancy.  At 5 weeks after bright heavy bleeding they did my bloodwork and said I and the baby was fine.  Now at 7 weeks, I had heavy bleeding yesterday and passed a clot the size of a golf ball.  I went to the emergency (did I mention I'm in FRANCE?! on business??? oh geez).  And they did a check and the baby is fine????  I am going in again on Friday for another check up and ultrasound. Has anyone had anything like this happen?  Please advise - I'm very worried.

    Did the Er in france give any explanation?  Did your nurse or OB say anything when you called to make an appt?  keep us updated!

    This can happen with a subchorionic hematoma.  I wouldn't trust the docs in France though.

     When will you be back in the states?

    I would take it easy.

    I had this happen with DS.  I had a gush of blood and some large clots.  Everything turned out great.  The dr was never able to give me an explanation.
