I posted earlier in the week about being a bit nervous about telling our families. We bought DS a "I'm going to be a big brother" shirt.
We met my mom at Ruby Tuesday's. She totally was oblivious to the shirt, even when my sister tried to call attention to it, by pointing out the dinosaurs on his shirt. Finally, I was just like, "Mom, just look at his shirt, please?!?!?!" She was sitting to the side of him and was having trouble seeing what it said. When she actually read it, her mouth dropped open, she looked at both of us and said "Are you kidding?!?!?!" She started crying and was really happy.
Our in-laws didn't notice the shirt either. DH had to say something about the new "grandparent" shirt we got for them. They both read it at the same time. My MIL looked a me, with a huge smile and said "No way!" and then ran up and hugged me. She was super excited. We also told DH's grandmother, who didn't notice the shirt and had to have it pointed out. She was so shocked and kept thanking us.... LOL
Everything went well and everyone is so happy and can not wait. MIL is even excited about us not finding out the sex. ![]()
