1st Trimester

hesitant with a question.

I'm a full 12 weeks today, and I couldn't be happier!!! We are back at work, after a nice, relaxing Spring Break. I thought I would be ready to share my awesome news, but I just don't know. We have a meeting after school, which would be the prefect time to make the announcement, but I find myself hesitating, and I don't know why. I also want to tell my students, but again, I don't know how or when.

Also, when do you start showing? I have gained 10lbs since Jan, when we found out.

Anyone else having this problem? Or am I like the cheese, and stand alone?

You're a cheese Stick out tongue

No really, a lot of people choose to wait and there's nothing wrong with that. You will show eventually though, you're done with 1st tri, and you said this meeting would be the perfect time... just go for it!

  • We are going through the same thing.  We have kept it a secret and since we recently heard the heartbeat and feel confident that things are going well we said this past weekend we were going to start slowly telling.  Well Dh went to work all weekend and told no one, I said why not, he just said, "I dont know, its just been our secret and I kinda dont want to tell"  and Ive been the same way, I think about telling someone and then Im like, whats another week, they dont NEED to know....

  • Tell when you are ready, but I would tell them by 16 weeks. With my first pregnancy, I didn't show until about 22 weeks so you probably have some time.

  • Thank you! DH is in no rush or hurry to tell any of his coworkers either. His boss knows, and that's the only person he's told. I thinking I'll hold off another week or two.
