Target registry, free gift cards?

Hi Girls, has anyone received free gift cards from opening a target registry? My sil got 2 $20 gift cards from the store, just from opening a registry. May be worth it to open one up online.

    I got one! I got a coupon in the mail that I took in with a copy of my registry and got a $20 gift card at customer service.

    That sounds great!! Im doing my registry at target anyway. Do you have to open it up online to get the gift cards, or do they give it to everyone who registers??

    This.  I received a coupon in the mail and took it into the store yesterday and we created a registry and customer service gave us a $20 gift card.   It's private... But nice to have a list of what we want for #3.  I'll use the gc for sure!

    I didn't get one and we started our registry online, and finished it in the store.  The registry was started in Jan.

    I registered online middle of last month, and I haven't gotten a gift card or coupon from them...to those ladies that have gotten coupons, when did you start your registry?

    I got the $20 gift card/coupon in the mail as well but I haven't even made a registry with Target yet.. It just says to bring in the coupon and a print out of your registry and they'll give you the gift card. Since this is my second I was just gonna make a registry to use as a list for us (a little behind though) and of course I can really use the gift card.

    i started my registry online, and then got a catalog of baby stuff from target in the mail, which had a coupon for a $20 gift card attached.

    the catalog said something like, "redeem this coupon when you start your registry" so i'm not sure if it mattered that i had already started online.

    (i did subscribe to american baby very early in my pregnancy, so maybe that put me on a mailing list somewhere?)

    Sorry ladies, but in my opinion target registries suck!

    We registered there for our wedding and less than 3 months later they informed us that over half our registered items were going to be discontinued and these were not seasonal items either.

    I had a friend who had a bad experience as well with their baby registry and them not having much in the store and having to order online and then not getting the free shipping, so just beware...Love the store, hate the registry/registry process at Target!

    I started my registry online and did not get one. My step-mom however has been signing up for things with my due date and her name just to send me the magazines and coupons and things. Target sent her a baby catalog, along with a $20 gift card coupon. I called their 800 number to ask why I was not sent one, even though I had a registry there and the guy I spoke with said that they're sent out at random, they do not mail them out to everyone. I had my step-mom send it to me, and then I went into the store and printed my registry for them and they gave me a gc at the customer service counter.

    Nope didn't get one. But people here have tons of kids so could be they don't do it in my state cus they'd lose so much money lol
