Im only a month along but Im wondering what products you'all recommend and cannot live without.
I want to start saving up money for when I need them. I know IM def going to start using cocoa butter!!
Also any good documentaries on youtube y'all reccomend watching?!
Thank you!
Re: What are some products you could not live without while you are preggers...
The only things I bought for pregnancy besides some maternity clothes (and prenatal vitamins) were a body pillow (got it for $15 from Walmart) sometimes I just use a regular pillow between my legs instead... and some bigger bras. I bought nursing bras in hopes that they will be useful after I have the baby... don't know if I will need different ones when my milk actually comes in though.
I got most of my maternity clothes online from Babies R Us (Thyme brand) and from a second hand store... I'd definitely recommend looking at a second hand store first if you've got a decent one nearby... maternity clothes are only used for such a short period of time...
The biggest expenses are the things you will have to get for baby.
Belli Acne Face Wash & Elasticity Skin Oil, clementines, Spanx Power Mama support shapewear, supportive husband, larger bras
I think I was pretty low maintenance when ti came to my pregnancy!
99.9% of purchases have been for baby.
I didn't buy any maternity clothes, bought a Snoogle in 3rd trimester and hated it so I returned it.
I will be splurging on doing prenatal massages, pedicures and perhaps accupuncture over the next month.
There was nothing I couldn't live without, but I had an easy pregnancy... Crackers and gingerale were pretty important at one point, Tums are always on hand, but that's about it.
I just wore lots of pajama pants and regular t-shirts from Gap and J.Crew. Didn't buy any maternity clothes except for pants.
Otherwise, ginger ale, green apples, ice chips, body pillow and Tums. That's all!
At the moment, a good ice pack! It's been helping with some low back pain.
Id also recommend some comfy yoga pants or sweats, either maternity type or up a size from normal.
Tums, tums, tums, and oh, tums! Besides that, my boppy body pillow, cocoa butter oil (hated the lotion smell) and sparkling water. Got a lot of maternity clothes from thrift shops (my mom is the queen of thrifting) and target.
Good luck and congratulations!

like most of the ladies here, i could not have lived without my body pillow...it was definitely a lifesaver in getting some sleep:):)
also i would reccommend getting the most comfortable bras you can..i bought mine from motherhood, but really, you dont necessarily need nursing bras, anything comfy will do!! and also, leggings, you can get creative with a few maternity essentials, and whatever is in your closet when you have good pairs of leggings:)
good luck!
Congrats
In between not fitting in my regular pants and needing maternity pants I very much enjoyed the belly band. It doesn't work for everyone, though, so that's something to consider. Other than that, I use shea butter and maternity/nursing bras. The only other thing might be prenatal vitamins, but other than that I didn't really have to get any new products just yet. One of my friends did mention that since she was in the third tri over the summer she wore a lot of flats and flip flops which may have ruined her feet. Her podiatrist told her after that she would've been better with more supportive shoes, so something else to keep in mind.
Cocoa Butter/Bio Oil
Zantac 150 (Tums did not work AT ALL)
Tiger Balm (back pain)
Benedryl (new allergies and also helps with sleep)
Hot tea and honey (decaffeinated, of course)
Yoga Pants
Hoodies
Sports & Maternity bras
Flip Flops & Slippers.
And The Business of Being Born is an awesome documentary..its on Netflix
hth!

I also wouldn't have survived without The Bump Board Glossary. Check it out.

I agree 100% with short sleeved tops. My temp has fluctuated like crazy and my office is never the same temp from day to day. I'm in Ontario and I would have died this winter if I had just bought winter stuff. Also, I only bought shirts that could be dressed up with a suit jacket or dressed down with jeans. I didnt want to spend the money on casual and work clothes.
Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Balm
Old Navy maternity clothing (always have good sales!)
My hockey jersey collection - they make perfect, casual maternity tops and look cute with leggings!
Sports bras and nursing bras a size larger than normal
Comfy undies - I got a value-pack of Fruit of the Loom cotton panties...that was if anything happened to them, I didn't care.
Pantyliners
My biggest must haves:
-Snoogle- OMG this has been such a godsend.
-Old Navy maternity leggings (full panel)- have been seriously living in these since 12w or so
-I have also really loved longer cardigans that I bought from Old Navy. I probably could have survived without them, but they were definitely something that I didn't think I'd wear all that much and I have been shocked to find how much I wore them. My basic uniform right now is the full panel leggings, a tank top, and a long cardigan. I was surprised to find that my pre-pregnancy cardigans are not cutting it anymore

1. Mother's Special Blend. https://www.amazon.com/Mothers-Special-Blend-Toning-Ounces/dp/B0001AF6Q2/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1332169933&sr=8-1-spell I put it on my tummy , boobs and potential saddle bags. I know they say that stretch marks are hereditary, but my mother had them, my grandmother had them....I do have them and have been using this oil religously since my first trimester. They also help with my itchy skin. I use generous amounts right after I shower and rub it in really well.
2. Fetal Doppler - This was a hard decision for me. I know that sometimes they can cause worry if you can't find the heartbeat. First of all, I never had that problem. Second, I had an early miscarriage with my last pregnancy and so I was a worry wart right from the beginning. Having the fetal doppler really helped ease my mind, especially late first and early second trimester.
3. Vanilla Milkshakes - I had lost my appetite in the first trimester and have suffered from horrible heartburn in late second in third trimester. The vanilla milkshake was gerat in first because it gave me calories so it slowed my weight loss and calcium and it is a great help with heartburn and indigestion.
1. Coconut oil- my skin got so dry and itchy and this is the only thing that really helps
2. Yoga pants from Old Navy- super comfy. I've been pleased with all of the maternity stuff I got there, but honestly, hit up a local second hand shop for a lot which was great
3. My Starbucks cup. I have one of those double insulated cups from them with the straw- and I used to HATE ice in my drinks, but I learned quickly my 1st trimester that ice cold water/ginger ale was all I could keep down. That cup was a lifesaver when I went to work bc it kept all my ice from melting super fast.
