Is anyone using the Boppy wedge?

So I have been religiously using the Boppy maternity pillow since pretty early on in my pregnancy (even took it on the babymoon) and it has really been a life saver.  However, my belly is now getting heavy and feeling like it needs more support at night.

I read the reviews for the Boppy wedge on Amazon (and a lot of women were doing exactly what I have planned on -using it in conjunction with the full size Boppy maternity pillow)...overwhelmingly positive reviews.

Just wondering if any of you have used/liked/disliked the wedge?

Thanks!

Re: Is anyone using the Boppy wedge?

  • So far, I haven't used a maternity pillow - only the Boppy Wedge and love it. The only pain is that I toss and turn a lot - so I have to switch sides with it- but over all, I love it. I got mine at BRU and I think it was $17.

  • I have exclusively used the Boppy wedge since I was about 20 weeks or so and I absolutely love it. I have found that I need to place it a little lower than expected, but it works wonderfully. I'm 29 weeks and there are still many nights that I don't get up at all to pee. I know it's because of the extra support I'm getting from the wedge.

It's also great in between the knees if you need some extra support there. It has completely eliminated the hip pain I was having in the morning by using it this way, too.

So, in short, I think you'll be very satisfied with it. Go buy it! :)

  • I use the boppy pillow, and honestly just shove a small pillow under my belly. Same effect.

  • I use both the full size Boppy pillow with the Boppy wedge and think the wedge is a lifesaver!  Although sleeping can be difficult at this stage, the wedge helps so that your belly doesn't weigh you down while you sleep.  Before I got the wedge, my belly was starting to get quite uncomfortable but it does the trick.  I don't think a small pillow would have the same effect for me - with the wedge you can determine how much or how little support you need (depending on how far under your belly you put it).  I picked up the wedge at Baby Depot from Burlington Coat Factory and it wasn't expensive at all - well worth it!

  • I'm using a belly wedge to sleep, though not sure what brand it is (I got it at BRU). It's been great! It really supports my belly and prevents my back from being pulled painfully. It's kind of annoying when you are tossing and turning, but compared to a pillow between the knees (which is what I felt the need for in my 2 previous pregnancies) it's less inconvenient to move with.

  • I have only used the boppy wedge since being pregnant and I love it. It's been enough for me to get comfort and sleep without having to use the pollow.

  • I only have one because it was in the bag of maternity clothes a friend lent me.  Didn't even think about it... until I hit about 23 weeks and started to get uncomfortable on my side.  I use it every night.

  • I have heard nothing but good things about it!  If I weren't only 6 weeks out from having baby, I'd totally pick one up...  Maybe next time!
