Recommend you Stroller

HI!

We just found out we are expecting twins after several years of IF, loss, and heartache.  We are so excited!  I know there are places to find the best gear for multiples, but the only thing I'm really not sure about at this point is the kind of stroller we might need.  What have you preferred and why?  TIA for any advice!!!

    I had kind of a limited budget, and I ended up deciding on the Combi Twin Sport side by side.

    It's about $280 regular, but I found it on sale for $190 when I bought it.

    I also got the Baby Trend double frame stroller for when they're very little. that one was only about $100.

    We used the DSNG for the first year, which was great! I miss that lightweight stroller.

     We also bought the Combi Twin. One of my girls hates the stroller so I often end up letting her walk or carrying her, so for us the $200 stroller works. The citi mini was our other choice, but we went with the Combi to see if the cheaper one worked for us. So far so good!

    Started out with the DSNG purchased off craigslist for $10. It served its purpose, especially for that price. I just got the Baby Jogger City Mini GT last weekend, which is pricey, but I was lucky enough to have my inlaws purchase it. I've only had it a week, but so far I just LOVE it.
    TTC for 3 years. Finally successful after 5 IUIs and 2 cycles of IVF. Our amazing twins were born 5 weeks early on 8/16/11. Found out April 2012 that our di/di twins are ID.

    congratulations!  It really depends on what your purposes are for your stroller. We used our DSNG for over a year, especially for dr's appt.  I loved being able to click in our infant car seats - it made life so much easier.  My boys are little (5% and <1%), so we were able to get a lot of mileage from it.  We bought it used (along with car seats) from someone in our twins club. 

    Now, I love, love, love my Double BOB - it was a gift.  If you plan to run/hike/go offroading, it's fantastic.  It has air-filled wheels and a great suspension, so it's great over bumps, rocks, etc.

    We were also very luck to receive a hand-me-down Combi twin - it is great for the mall, grocery shopping and now used for dr appts.  It has hard plastic wheels, so over cracks in the sidewalk, it's a little bumpy.


    IVF w/ ICSI #2 - fraternal twins born December 2010 at 36 weeks.

    We used the Kolcraft contours tandem stroller for the a little over a year.  It's similar to the DSNG frame but also comes w/seats that you can face multiple different ways.  Now I use the Baby Jogger City mini and love it!!!  It folds really easy and is fairly "loght" considering it is a double stroller.  I wish the basket was easier to get to but that has been improved in the 2012 model.

    So far I love my BJ City Select. It works as a DSNG when they are little (which is what we are doing now), and later you can put the seats in all different configurations, or use it as a single stroller if you are out with just one or want to carry the other in a carrier or something. In my dream world I would love to have the City Mini as well so that we could have a side-by-side option (I kindof like the idea of the side-by-side better than tandem because it's easier to see both of them and get to them more easily, and they can't kick each other etc), but the BJCS won for its versatility and so far I have not been disappointed.

    Congratulations on your pregnancy!

    We just got the City Select stroller (with an extra seat) and are very happy with it. In fact I even like it better than the Bugaboo we had with our singleton. 

    I like that it isn't side by side so it fits between parked cars (you don't have to leave one baby in the stroller out in the parking lot while you load the other one). Also both babies can see ahead, and it folds up compact (it fits in the trunk of our sedan with room to spare).  It can also easily be a single stroller if you want.

    The only down side is that you have to buy the infant bassinet separately. But the regular seats recline enough that we've had no trouble putting them in it even when they were tiny. Albee Baby has a discontinued color (diamond) for a great price.
