Ideas on getting LO to eat more

DD refused the bottle all week while I was at school and in-laws were watching her. I am wondering if it is because for a little over a week we had been putting a little rice in one bottle a day to try to get more calories in her.  She is healthy but just so small. Turned 8 months today, and still wont open for solids except for some finger foods. My mom thought maybe she is ready for fast flow nipple.

Any ideas on how to get her to eat more without forcing it?

    Small amounts more often maybe? I kind of have the opposite problem. I am working on portion control. I hope it works out for you. Maybe chunks of avocado as finger food? I believe that it has a lot of healthy fat.
