Let's here them, ladies!
I confess that I let my nephews feed Mason some Froot Loops the other day.
I confess that I keep the high chair in the living room. I will eventually insist that meals be eaten around the dinner table, but the living room is more convenient right now.
I confess that I still have a "Let it Snow!" decoration on my front door. I keep meaning to take it down, but I always forget.
Re: FFFC
I cant wait to go out without my kids tomorrow night. If I had my way it would be without my husband too.
HAHAH In a perfect world!
My in-laws are coming tomorrow for their self invited week at our house. They decided that they're going to be coming to see us (20 hours from their home) every other month for a week.
I do not like these people. My father in law hates me and makes no attempt to cover it up. He constantly suggests that my DH and the baby stay at home and I leave. My mother in law has a fit that I won't let her feed my 7 month old ice cubes and told me that that's one of the things she's just going to have to do when DH and I aren't around. She thinks she should be able to feed him ice because "if he chokes he won't choke for long."
So now I feel like not only do I have to be a parent but I also have to be a babysitter to in laws that do not listen and do not respect our wishes. In case I'm not busy enough now I get to babysit/entertain them. (DH would help out, but he has to work.)
This is more of a vent than a confession. Sorry.
80% of the time, DS screams bloody murder when MIL & FIL hold him. I don't know why. He's great with everyone else. My confession is that I'm happy that he does it. Maybe it's his way of telling them to make him more of a priority in their lives.
Also, when DS was first born MIL stayed with us a few nights to "help". She spent the days taking naps and not really helping at all, besides making bottles. I like to think DS cries to punish her for that.
What Assshats!!!
Haaaaaaaaaaa, DH is a firefighter and he works overnight two nights out of every 8 - I don't have to cook for him, I watch what I want, and it is glorious!
I hear you. My DH works until 10 pm. I often think I would love to have him around more to help out, but I so enjoy watching my shows in peace at night. When he's off he thinks he owns the remote!
Uh oh, I wear compression pants/capris when I run
I have NO IDEA how parents w/ babies that don't nap, like ever, survive each day! I wouldn't make it...
I used to get left in the dust by DH running, but now I can kick his butt (most days) and I kind of like it!
We work!!
I said for most people
We go insane!
We have been watching MMC multiple times a day for over a year now lol
I have stopped giving purees I give table food and I never followed the 3 day rule!
I also can't stand nearly all TV shows are filmed in the dark basically...ummm I can't see anything!!!
I also realize I watch entirely too much tv...
I can't find the facebook group, so i''ll stick around here for you! I'm going to start posting again and come out of the lurking. It's my goal for the week!
Another FFFC for me - I'm addicted to Baby Names. that's that board that i'm on about 75% of the time. I'm a total Name Addict.
I spend way more time than I care to admit on here
I HATE when people tell their whole lives on fb or every new thing their kid does has to go on fb
LO still sleeps in our room.
M&M The format is changing tuesday to much less user friendly version. Check out TK/Local TN boards to see what it will be like for us next week. :-(
1) This board has been a lot more pleasant since those people ran off, IMO.
2) You are right, I don't really care~ I was trying to get my post count up to silver, and I was successful. Still can't hurt to try to liven up the board though!
3) TGIF.
I let B cry in the swing so i could take a shower. DH hasn't been home since Sunday and i believe my last shower was Tuesday? Either way, he is coming home today and didn't need to see my nastiness,
I'll tell you what girls do with babies who don't nap. They go days without showering and itch in places they didn't know they had.
I don't separate my laundry. I throw all the colors in together and wash it all on cold. It's never been a problem.
Along the lines of some PP's, my husband is home every evening and all weekend, and I love it. But, he does occasionally go away for a week and I have to admit those aren't the worst weeks ever. Less messes to clean up, virtually no cooking, hardly any dishes to do, no fighting over what to watch, etc. It's awesome. I've told him and he thinks it's funny. Really though, if he were gone all the time like that, I don't think I'd like it so much.
I loose weight without dh, because dinner goes unnoticed. He isn't here to make him anything and if i get hungry i end up with a bowl of cereal. I gain it all back every weekend when he gets home since he wants to try all my new Pinterest recipes and sip on beer and wine all day while we shoot the ish.
LO still sleeps in our room too.
I agree with all 100% except I haven't been posting much either the last couple of days, not because of a TB break, althought I have thought about it... But there has not been very many posts that are worth my time to respond to. I doubt that Saltina has time to go back to see the responses on ALL her posts, and with all the awesome ladies on Bump breaks it has been very slow.
My FFFC, I am sick and I am supposed to be working from home today but instead I have been playing with DD and I finished a sewing project I started.
Sorry you're sick! I hope you feel better soon!
The world stops as soon as the Bubble Guppie theme song comes on in my house...but they really are the cutest things ever!!
I am sure Saltina checks back on every single one of her posts...that's what happens when you get a higher education, you can maintain several conversations at once...you say it like its hard to do or something...
