Night Time Sickness :(

I am currently 7 weeks pregnant, and for the last 3 nights have been awoken at about 1 am every night feeling so sick to my stomach and usually staying awake until I inevitably puke.  I had pretty miserable morning sickness with my first, but I was better able to manage it because I could eat something, and it would get a little better.  With the middle of the night sickness, by the time I wake up, its too late, the damage has been done, I can't force food down and I can't keep myself from throwing up.  I don't even mind puking, its the waking up in the middle of the night that I hate the most.  I need my sleep.  I've tried snacking before bed, but that does nothing.  Any suggestions/similar experiences?

  • Try sleeping with a SeaBand on and see if that helps.  You can find them just about anywhere in the motion sick isle.

  • I am constantly nauseous, 24/7, but have not puked yet, thank god.  But the nausea is awful.  My doctor has me taking 1 Unisom at night, which has helped me. I also take 50 mg of B6 (25 mg twice a day) which is for nausea too. It hasn't made it go away, but it has prevented me from being sick. I am 12 weeks today, it started for me a 6 weeks and hasn't gone away. I'm so over it, lol.

  • This was me from weeks 6-9.  But I would wake up with enough notice to get a can of gingerale and some crackers before throwing up.  It was horrible though.  I'd wake up about every hour.  If I did some peanut butter on the crackers, I would sleep for like 3 hours straight before I woke up again.  I will say that almost at 11 weeks, I'm only waking up 2 times a night and that's only to pee!  Good Luck!

  • I had all day sickness with my first. I drank a lot of water with lemon and carbonated water. Nothing else helped. Hang in there. You may continue to have morning sickness throughout your entire pregnancy. Mine started to subside around 20 weeks with my last pregnancy.
