3rd Trimester

if you remember if I asked if I should avoid this guy...

a chiropractor (dad of other child) from DS's daycare who I felt sorta crossed the line...

He has now put his business cards in my AND my husbands cars while they were in the drive way and we were inside getting DS.

Is it crossing the line to actually open someone's car door and put your business card inside?

  • 100% yes, but that's why I never leave my car unlocked.

  • Yes, that is definitely a line cross there. People should not be opening your personal property.

  • Wow, that is across the weirdness line. It's one thing to mention possible benefits of his services, but totally another to enter your vehicle to advertise!

k, just checking... I wasn't opposed to his services. It's not like I 'don't believe in chiropractor's' or in the benefits they could have. (of course, not all chiropractors are 'good' but neither are all doctors...) But he was sorta a jerkface when we talked, just how he asked, "...you're familar with a VBAC aren't you?!" just just a shiitty way etc. And yeah, now putting your business cards in our vehicles, um, I wish I was a fly on the wall for the next time my husband sees him.... I have a feeling he'll make sure he knows his services are not needed.

This...No one could do that to my car without breaking a window.

ok, if my car was locked or not, I'm sure he would've put the cars on my windshield.

You never leave your window cracked when running into your house? We were in a driveway at a house, practically in a garage...

  • Wow.  Okay, this guy has something wrong with him.  That's creepy.

  • I thought he was creepy before, but that's crossing the line. Technically, it's unlawful entry, and you CAN call the police about it. If you want him to leave you alone, he has just given you a convenient way to make it VERY clear to him.

WOW! Locked or not, it's one thing to have stuck it on the windshield, which is still pushing it if he only stuck it on yours and your DH's windshield, but to have stuck it INSIDE?! Yeah, definitely crossing a line. I'd warn him that if he continues this, you'll contact the cops. The car is private property and to have purposely put it inside has to be some sort of violation.

  • Yes.  I never leave my car unlocked though.

Why not just tell him to his face you aren't interested??  Seems like an easy solution to this issue.

  • I didn't read about the guy before but he's a creep. Also, I wouldn't lock the doors at a private residence daycare either! It's more than likely you're going to go in, grab the kid and bag, sign them out or whatever, maybe say hi to the provider and see if anything special happened that needs attention and then go back to the car! Why have to dig for the keys and get the door unlocked while you're carrying the child and stuff? It's likely only going to be like 15 minutes max. Heck if it's cold out I'll probably even keep it running so the heater continues to keep the car warm for when we get in!
