Grass is not safe

Since it was so nice out yesterday, I took LO outside after work to hang out in the backyard. I found a nice soft patch of grass, sat him down and he looked at me like I lost my mind and then started crying.

After that I couldn't even bend down without him getting pissy and clutching me like I was going to throw him to his death. Silly baby. 

Is my kid a freak or do other babies hate grass too?

    Our grass is still buried in snow so I'm not sure how Alexa will react! I thought most babies liked playing in the grass but I could be wrong! Maybe put a blanket down for him to sit on but close to the end so he can grab and play with the grass to get used to it

    My child likes grass, but only because he wants to eat it.

    I will put him on a blanket, and he will pull it until he can get his hands on the grass.  Now, I don't even worry about a blanket; I just watch him carefully!

    We're still snow covered too. Neither of my big kids liked grass or sand at first. Its all new & they do feel funny.

    Ditto. Yesterday was a huge clusterfail, because DS was grabbing fists full of grass and leaves. The blanket was a no go, because he just kept crawling off.
