After waking up very early Monday morning (1:45am) to a massive bleed, my mom called 911 (we were told anything more than a drop to call). I was rushed down to my hospital where I was addmitted.
After a few hours the bleeding stopped and I was feeling good. Just before I had supper I had to go to the bathroom so I got up went in and there was another big bleed and a huge clot. My doctor had just been in and told me he was addmitting me until my scheduled c-section 2 weeks later, luckily he hadn't left yet so the nurses were able to get him to come back in quickly. He told me that at 35 weeks they cannot deliver at my hospital because they don't have a nicu (and the only pediatrician was on holidays) so I was being sent to a larger city hospital by ambulance (lights and sirens included). We got down here and they addmitted me and sent me to the post partam ward to obsereve me. About half an hour after getting settled I had another big bleed and half an hour after that I passed a massive clot. They told me the doctor would be in to see me after he finished up the c-section he was working on. He never came and no one came at all yesterday, luckily yesterday it was just very light spotting.
This morning I woke up and felt I was leaking blood and sure enough I was. I had another big bleed. I called the nurse, and she came and called the doctor. I was sent to labour and delivery shortly after that. When I got there I (FINALLY) saw a doctor and he decided today was a good day for a birthday he just had to do one c-section before me and then it was my turn.
At about 11:45 they came and got me and brought me and my bf to the or. He waited outside while I was preped. About 12 noon they brought him in and by 12:16 pm Elijah Clifford Ashton made his debut.
They cleaned him up, weighed him (a whopping 7lbs 7ozs) and 20.5 cm. I got to see him for a quick second before he was taken to the nicu.
He was put on the CPAP machine to help his breathing, his blood sugar was low, they put a tube down to his tummy to drain it so his lungs could expand. Apparently he is just on oxygen now, his blood sugar is up and he is doing good. I pumped a while ago to try to get my milk started so I can start feeding him my milk.
I am doing good. I hope to get to go see him tonight for a bit. I am not in to much pain, I am only taking Tylenol but I am very tired (so excuse all the grammer and spelling mistakes) it has been a long and stressful past couple of days.
p.s. I can't believe how much he looks like Silas already.
