She was happy but of course said the same thing everyone else did, "Oh I already knew just by the way you look."
I'm starting to get aggravated with just about everyone I tell saying that they already knew before I tested. I get that my MIL may have already knew, she is a L&D Nurse for 30+ years so she sees it but my boss? really? My boss does not have children and never wanted them, yet she can tell when people are pregnant instantly? No one but a few close friends knew we were TTC #2, so I just don't get it.
Between telling her today and getting bad reactions from a few other co-workers the other day, I'm just bummed all around. I'm super excited for LO2 I just don't see why people can't just suck up their douchebaggery and give me a congrats.
Sorry, end rant.
Re: I told my boss today.... rant-ish
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Some people just like to sound like they know everything. When I was announcing I had a woman tell me that she knew already too.... when she saw me a week before my positive test.
Congratulations!!!!
We had something kind of similar happen with a family member, so I can definitely sympathize. We planned out how we were going to tell my MIL and my husband called to see if she'd be home the next day. She said she would be working, so we decided to surprise her there. We took her the gift... a framed ultrasound picture that said "Can't wait to meet Grandma!" When she opened it up, her response was that she knew we were going to tell her I was pregnant. In fact, she said she knew something was up, because we hardly ever visit. Nothing anywhere near a congratulations was given. It really upset my husband. He doesn't have the best relationship with his mother, but he was really looking forward to seeing her reaction.
Thank you! I appreciate it! It's definitely hard not to get upset when people act that way. Just have to focus on how excited we are for this baby!
I like you! haha
Amazing how psychic people are, isnt it? Lol.
Well I say congrats!
they only knew because you're so damn glowy and beaaauuutiful!!!
i feel ya here, sis. i haven't told fam or friends yet but two gals that work for my herbalist both said they could tell when they found out. they may have meant i'm getting a bit softer round the middle but i'm taking it as i'm glowing all over these mofo's!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Congratulations!
But why are you telling your employer when you are under 6 weeks along? Did I miss a back story?
Keep your head up and stay excited!
