Maybe baby?

Hi there, I'm brand new to the site.  I've been married for almost 8 months and absolutely loving it!  Anyway, I know this is just me being baby crazy and what not (I've been super excited about becoming a mom lately) but I think I may be pregnant.  I took a test yesterday and it came up negative.  I realized after a little research that there are certain times to test and everything.  Anyway, I took that "am I pregnant" quiz on here and it says, according to my symptoms, that I probably am.  I had a little bit of spotting for about 3 days without any of the usual cramping I get with my period, I've been noticing I have a higher sense of smell and all the other stuff.  The only thing different I've noticed was that I haven't had any morning sickness which isn't really unusual (my mom or grandma never got it).  I'm going to take another test either tomorrow morning or friday.  Wish my husband and I luck on having our first child together!

    Aw!  Welcome!  I thought I was going mad....at 17 dpo I got a BFN...18 dpo BFN....and FINALLY on 19 dpo..BFP...I must have O'd way later than I thought.  Congrats on your maybe baby....and if not then good luck in the future :)

    Those sound a lot like phantom symptoms to me. My husband and I had been trying for 8 months before my BFP and I had those "symptoms" every month with negative results. I'd wait until you are actually late to test again. Also if you don't already chart, I suggest FertilityFriend.com It's a great site that gets you in tune with your body and there are tutorials on how to chart your temps.     Usually if you have symptoms you'll have a postive test, and as with pp pregnancy quizzes are crap

    You may or may not be.  Test in a few days.  What I've noticed (and heard) is you are hyper sensitive to what your body is going through while trying to conceive.  I noticed in some of the early cycles that I was positive because my boobs hurt and I thought I was more tired than normal.  I wasn't pregnant!  Many pregnancy symptoms are the same as period symptoms.  I hope all works out for you, but if not keep trying and good luck.

    Hey there, yes I agree with the previous mums..test again tomorrow or in a couple of days..I used to go on about.com to check when my ovulation date might be. I guess it depends on your body and how well you know your cycle. The symptoms between an impending cycle and the early stages of pregnancy are very similar..the quiz's again, are useless telling you are "probably pregnant", when the only way you will know is when your period is absent (for most women) and you get that big fat positive! I'm not trying to be negative its just that when I was ttc it gave me false hope every month to something that I wanted so badly :( It will happen when the time is right for you and hubby, I wish you guys the best of luck and congrats if you are indeed pregnant!     In all seriousness, no Internet quiz can tell you if you're pregnant or not. If you have symptoms like you stated, you should have enough HCG in your system to test positive. Keep testing until you get a BFP or reach 60 days without your period before calling a doc.
