HSG cancelled

I was suppost to have my hsg today at 10am, but I called and my insurance doesnt cover it, WTF! The doctors fee alone is $1024, that doesnt even include the hospital fee. I finally felt like we were getting somewhere, had a plan to figure out whats wrong. Ugh, I am so pissed and upset. I cant catch a friggen break.

    Oh no that TOTALLY sucks. :-(  That doctor's fee is insane.  Why would your insurance not cover this??

    Oh, that sucks! Can your doctor submit the claim as something other than "infertility" to see if it's covered that way? I know sometimes a procedure for diagnosis can apply differently than infertility. I hope you can figure something out. ((hugs))

    Cuz they dont cover fertility testing, stupid insurance. They would rather keep paying over 3k for d&c's rather then find out what the problem is.

    that is just crazy. Can they label it as anything other than infertility? Can you switch/change/update your insurance to include these things? I'm so sorry.... I wish I had better advice.

    I'm sorry...insurance co.'s are so frustrating. We pay so much money for it and get so little out of it. As painful as the HSG was for me and a couple of other people I know, I hope you find a way to get it done. GL!

    Can't your dr code it differently?  I had a HSG in Dec 2007 after my ectopic 2007, and my dr coded it so it would be a follow up test after my lap.

    Ugggh.   Insurance companies don't make sense.  That really sucks.  I'm so sorry.  Is there any way your doctor could say it was for something else?
