S/O Clothes...what is with the 80's???

I was at Target and Kohl's yesterday looking for some spring clothes for my 8 year old daughter.  Ick!  I realize that it's all a cycle and unfortunately the 80's are back (and have been) but usually they do a modern take on the "re-do".  What I saw yesterday looked like they boxed up everything leftover from 1984 and just put it out.  I swear I saw some clothes that I wore back then.  I'm really afraid of what she'll pick out if I take her shopping.

    I almost horked when I saw the neon yellow (like, highlighter yellow) crappy canvas sneakers at Target.  I'm not far enough removed from the 80s to ever be caught dead in any of this stuff.  Doubling up the neon scrunch socks just makes short legs look shorter :-p

    ugh. I hate florescent colors! it wasn't good in the 80's and it's not good now!

    That's hilarious Big Smile!  I saw those canvas "things" too.  I still cringe at the pictures of me from the 80's (OK, the hair had something to do with it too), though apparently I would fit in. I will not be caught dead in these clothes.

    I totally wore that with an oversized t-shirt, vest and bowler hat the other day to an NKOTB concert....

    Wait.  It's not 1990 and I'm not in 5th grade?  Dammit.

    She was my favorite.

    I'm okay as long as Hypercolor and Z. Cavarricci (or however it's spelled) doesn't come back.
