I could use some happy stories about all of your sweet kids please What have they been up to? Any new "tricks"? Any pictures or videos to share? What are you most proud of them for right now?
Hmmm no new tricks but she has been hysterical as usual (many new baby related). I am always very amused when she tells people "There is a boy in Mommy's belly & there is a girl in mine"....She is not giving up on this sister : ) She asked me yesterday when he gets here can she open his presents : ).
As far as new things I am pround of so far she is doing very well giving the binky fairy her binkies, we only have 2 left (2 is better then 10 she used to have) and we are down to only in her bed at night (this is big for us).
Mousey I also just saw a funny post on July 2012 about mom's of boys (which I am soon to be!!) and it made me laugh so I thought that I would post for you : )
Dillon is talking in full sentences now. His favorite line this week is "No, I don't like it" and I hear it about 10,000 times a day.
He counts things, but skips 4 most times, but he can count to 13 (the number of steps at my mothers house) and knows his shapes.
He loves reading his favorite book to me - Blue Hat, Green Hat but how he reads it is that everything is blue except the oops part. So it goes something like this "blue hat, blue hat, oops". "Blue socks, blue socks blue socks oops" Too cute!
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

Maddie is going through a major book phase right now. It's really funny because she will grab books off her nightstand and sit in her crib "reading" them, even though she can't possibly see them in the dark. I had to pull 3 books out of her crib after she went to sleep last night.
He counts things, but skips 4 most times, but he can count to 13 (the number of steps at my mothers house) and knows his shapes.
What is it about 4!!!! Katie has been skipping 4 forever. I am begining to think she is starting to do it to be funny.
I think it is because four and five both begin the the same letter. - Just a theory anyway, because when I correct him he just says five again!

He is of course the cutest thing ever. But really he amazes me everyday and I STILL can't believe I get to be his mom. It is so amazing how fast they change and it is the coolest thing in the world to watch them learn.
We are learning body parts and now he knows and can point to, his head, nose, mouth, tongue, ear, hand, belly (so, so cute---he pats his belly with both hands) and foot. He also knows the sounds of a cow, horse, snake and duck, can point them out in his books and can point to a few other animals by name.
Now when it is time to leave, I will tell him it's time to go bye bye, and he starts saying bye bye, waves, and heads for the door. At night when it's time for bed, I will say ok it's night night time and he high tails it for his room, walks over to the glider and waits for me to sit down to either read a book or give him his bottle.
After his bath, we go get his hair brush out of the drawer, brush his hair, and then he wants to put the hair brash back in the drawer and close the drawer himself.
He is big into stacking blocks and making towers right now. He tries to dance, especially to the music in Rio and Mickey Mouse Club House. He is just so fun.

well, after a super late start, Ethan went from diapers to 100% (even nighttime) potty trained in 1 week. I am glad that went so smoothly. Score one for waiting until he is ready!
and E is part of a study at a local teaching university, and they have asked him to remain part of a long term study about how children learn language, because he took part in a short 10 min study a year ago where they taught new verbs and Ethan not only learned them immediately, but still uses them. He learns language incredibly well! He is also speaking a lot of hebrew and can even translate for me some basic words!
C has finally figured out how crawl now. He follows me around the house making happy little shrieking noises. And yesterday we found him standing in his crib after a nap! We got the go ahead from our pedi to start actual table food, so I'm super proud that he has eaten mommy's homemade manicotti and meatloaf the past 2 nights.
2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14
I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

Seriously! H skips four every time! She says 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 11-teen, 13, 15:) Oh, and whenever she is excited she starts scream-singing the alphabet but starts at H.
E's cute thing lately is that when I am doing getting him dressed he stands up and says "Mommy snuggle" and gives me a big hug.

Mostly, I'm just so proud that most of the time I completely forget that he was born 4 months early and had such a rough start. He's doing great, and I always feared that being a preemie would define him - mostly that WE would define him that way - but that is not the case at all. I love watching his personality grow!

More than anything, Elizabeth's imagination is blowing me away right now.
Friday night, she decided her name was Maya (our cat) and that Maya was Elizabeth and she insisted DH and I play along. At one point, she started to yell at Maya about something and stopped herself and yelled at "Elizabeth" instead.
And a random funny: She was being goofy at dinner last night and DH looked at her and jokingly said "You sure are odd." She adamantly replied, "I am NOT God."
After 20 months, 3 Clomid cycles and 4 IUI cycles, IVF #1 with ICSI = BFP!
Will just figured out how to say his name and is SO proud of himself when he does it. He points to his chest and says Will!, but it sounds like Wheeeeeeeeeeelll!!! Since it's a tough sound to make, he contorts his face while he does it in a way that makes him smile, so he's always displaying this combination of pride and happiness when he does it. !
Aside from the typical toddler tantrums, he is, for the most part, a really happy guy. He brightens up our days!
Stella can go potty all by herself now from start to finish. The only thing I have to help her with is washing her hands. Such a big girl!
Hadley ate like a total rock star last night. She kept asking for more and hardly spit anything out. She even ate half a cupcake! The secret to getting her to eat a ton apparently is ranch!

Anna has completely mastered her playground. She just bounds up the stairs (she even walked up some stairs without holding onto the hand rails last week!), runs all over it, flies down the slides, and just owns the place. She also recently discovered the sand box, and has developed a major obsession with her bucket and shovel. She goes goes to the sandbox, fills up the bucket, and then carries the full bucket and shovel around the rest of the playground with her. Up stairs (hence climbing stairs without holding on because her hands are full!), down slides, and even on the swings. It is hilarious!
She is also learning at least one new word or sound a week now, so we are hoping to hear momma/mommy and dada/daddy soon!!!
Brought to you by IVF, ICSI, limited fert, and oocyte cryopreservation. Because we're fancy like that.
Yesterday Graeme saw the Honda sign at a dealership and said "H...huh (making the sound for 'h'"...I told DH he was a genius but he didn't agree...whatever, it was cute and made up for the super whiney stage he is currently in. He is also into saying "I wuv you mommy" which obviously makes up for any wrongdoing
"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasured day you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart...let me hold you while I may."
Conor can now undress and dress himself. Which makes me happy and sad at the same time. So grown up and independent and SO proud of himself. But another thing I'm not needed for now.
When he was in the tub the other night he said, "Mommy, I held you in my tummy when you were a baby." Then he pats his round belly with both hands lovingly. My heart exploded with love.
The other morning he came into the bathroom while I was still getting ready for work because he forgot to give me a "squeezy" when he woke up.
At DC they were talking about mail and we (parents) had to write him a letter to be "delivered" by the mailman. I had such a hard time writing him a letter! It felt like I was writing him a letter to read when I was gone. Uggh! Anyway, he "wrote" us a letter back and said his favorite time with mommy was when I snuggled with him in bed at night. And his faviorte time with daddy was playing catch and wrestling. We both teared up after reading what he "wrote."
Finn's most recent feats are early laughs, sucking on his hands voraciously, and staring at his hands. He also notices his brother a lot, which brings about big smiles (even if big brother isn't paying any attention to him - I foresee a lot more of this behavior in the coming years!)
Cal makes up songs and boogies all the time (his made up moves are very hip-hop-like, which he has not been exposed to, so the kid's a natural!). He's also at the age where he says funny things (unintentionally), i.e.:
"I love you, Mummy. And I love Daddy, also. And Finn... and everybody in the whole WORLD! What does 'whole world' mean?"
We explained to him the other night the many ways in which people are physically
different (sparked by a question of his), from skin color to hair color
to lack of hearing or eyesight, and how some people don't have arms and
some people don't have legs and some people don't have... "heads?" asked
Cal.
He thinks it's hilarious to speak in jibberish (and I must admit, it is pretty funny to hear). The other day I asked him to do something and his response was "[insert complete jibberish] means NO, Mummy"
Ah, 3...it's quite an age, I tell you!
Childhood cancer (DH) + chemo + radiation = 0 sperm.
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
Life is beautiful!
omg, all of these stories are so freaking adorable!!!! and even better, is hearing your love for the little munchkins...it just radiates out of each of you!
DS1 has been counting backward a lot recently. He also seems to be doing some subtraction/addition in his head. I'm not a big fan of math, so this is impressive to me! We were working on drawing plans for the furniture configuration in the new house and he was very interested in where furniture should go. He wants 3 beds in his room so his 2 best friends can spend the night. This boy has been asking for a slumber party for months now!
DS2 has learned how to give high 5s. During our nursing session this morning I was trying to hold his hand. Instead he decided to give me high 5s instead. They were hard and in rapid succession for being so early in the morning so I moved my hand away, but he grabbed it, opened it back up again, and continued with the high 5s. He is also becoming a good problem solver, he was stuck behind the babygate and was investigating both the latch side and the hinge side searching for ways to release himself. Fortunately for me he hasn't figured that out yet.
Sarah and Emily have really started interacting with each other. I love listening to them "talk" to each other. They make each other laugh. Emily says "da da da" and Sarah says "ma ma ma". They melt my heart on a daily basis with all the things they do.
DS went to school in big boy underwear today. He's been wearing them around home for a week or so now. He's not always dry at night but usually for naps. He potty trained himself essentially. Has had no accidents for #1 and only 2 for #2, he started this the week we got home from the hospital. Every previous attempt was met with severe resistance.

My big brag is also potty-training related. After a false start in August, we tried again after Christmas and he did fabulously well. Within about a month, I stopped putting diapers on him for naps, and as of last week he wears underwear to bed at night, too! No nighttime accidents so far. Now we have to figure out how to get him to use the toilet instead of the potty.
Yesterday we went to the mall and I stopped for a tea (for me) and timbits (for DS). While we were in line, he asked me to pick him up, and he immediately wrapped his arms around my neck and pressed his face against mine, and then he started running his hands through my hair. He's not always very affectionate, so I really soak up those moments when he is. Two women standing in line behind me were awwwing over him and lamenting that their children are grown. "My son only runs his hands through his girlfriend's hair now," one said. LOL
When I ask him how old he is he consistently says "Three years and a week." Why? I have no clue. And he still refuses to acknowledge that he has a middle name and a last name. "NO! I'm JUST ANDREW!" he yells.
Nicholas is quite the conversationalist lately. This is the same kid, who just a year ago or even 6 months ago was not even stringing 2 words together. He is just non stop chatty all day. I love being able to talk with him. It just blows me away how smart he is. Knows his colors and numbers and shapes and letters. He is so polite too. Says "No, thank you" if I put food in front of him that he doesn't want. says "yes please" if I ask if he wants a drink.
Ava- She is cruising a bit and babbling more. I'm keeping my ear out for first words. If she isn't talking by the end of the summer, I plan to get her evaluated. she will be 17 months old, which is the same age Nicholas was when we had him evaluated.

Audrina is really starting to say words that you can understand! Teeth is her favorite right now. You say where's your teeth and she opens wide points to her teeth and say teeth. We have an indoor playground across the street from our house that we go to often and every time she goes down the slide she say Weeeeee.
She also has been very interested in the potty lately so we sat her on it this weekend and she actually went!

Reed loves to say her name....so we'll point to her in the mirror or even an old picture and ask who that is, she says "Reeeeeee!!!!". So cute! And when something fascinates her, she says "Whoooooooaaaa"....I love it. Her sweet little voice gets me every time.
One of her DC teachers is studying for the MCAT, so she uses Reed to help her with her anatomy studying. So when you ask her where her Phalanges, Cranium, Humerus and patella are, she knows exaclty where they are.

Abby (on the left in my siggy) is REALLY talkative. Ellery just laughed for the first time last night... it was the sweetest thing I've ever heard.
Now if I could just get them to roll....
We'be been practicing since he's turning 2 in May, so when I ask how old he is going to be he says TWO! Love it!
He also knows his right from his left foot, he'll stomp each one on command or give you the appropriate foot when putting his shoes on.
