Cheese Question???

I know this might sound silly, but I have heard to stay clear of all soft cheeses while pregnant, but what about grated cheese? Tonight I was making dinner and recipe called for Grated Pecorino Romano Cheese, does anyone know if this is on the "can eat list"!!  Thanks so much!!!

    Yep. I was freaking out about the soft cheese thing because cheese is one of my favorite foods EVER. My husband and I did more research and found that most cheese you get in American grocery stores, soft or not, is produced with pasteurized milk. :)

    Yeah, pretty much any cheese you'd want to eat is perfectly fine unless you go out of the country or get some specialty cheese that hasn't been pasteurized.

    Just stay away from things that aren't pasteurized, which shouldn't be an issue.

    and remember that if you do slip and have a "no" cheese you'll very very likely be fine.
