When I was first pregnant, about a week and a half before I got a positive test, I experienced sudden onset dizziness, the likes of which I had never experienced before. It continued until the baby died at 4 1/2 weeks, then stopped abruptly.
The same symptom turned up again yesterday and has persisted today. I am not charting or using OPKs, so I haven't a clue what's going on with my cycle. While I do know that having a M/C can change your cycle entirely, I honestly thought it was a little too early to get pregnant again. Of course, I acknowledge that I have no way of knowing if I am, in fact, pregnant again or not at this juncture. Perhaps the symptom is the result of some additional hormone shifts. I don't know. It's just bizarre that the feeling is identical to what it was the first time around...
Did anyone else get pregnant after a M/C before they even got a period? How soon did the pregnancy occur after the M/C? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks, ladies.
Re: Anyone get pg directly following a M/C?
Miscarriage at 7w1d on 7/23, followed by BFP on 8/30.
Miscarriage at 4w3d on 12/11, followed by BFP on 1/3.
And I agree with exactly everything Theresat858 said.
I know, I keep doing that math thinking, this would be like the immaculate conception. Ha. My blood work was down to zero last week. I had the symptom VERY early in the first pregnancy, as mentioned, about a week and 1/2 before I tested positive. Anyway, I agree that some seriously funky stuff would have to be going on for me to be pregnant again, I'm just weirded out at this symptom having resurfaced.
See, I have heard of those cases too! A few in fact, where women ovulated within a week of a miscarriage. I'm sure it's rare, but it seems like you can't write anything off post miscarriage, when your body is "re-setting" (as my acupuncturist would say). As much as I want to be able to expect my cycle to do exactly what it did before-hand, I realize that I can't count on that totally.
I got pregnant straight away. I thought my cycle would just go back to where it was as if the miscarriage was a period, so when I found out I was pregnant again I had the dates very wrong. So when I thought I was about 7 weeks, I was really about 3 or 4.
Made for a very long first trimester!
